That Peugeot ad is doing my head in. Two Americans (one woman and one man who flirt outrageously) stand by a black Peugeot and talks about it extolling its virtues. "You give us £12.5k and we give you change."

Then she asks "any other colour than black?" and he replies, "we have no r".

What the hell does that mean?!?

He actually says "We have noir" which is French for .... black :eek:

And why does he say "you give us £12.5k and we give you change" why not "you give us £11k and take the car"

don't think the smarmy tw*t would last 5 minutes in a dealership, dismissing the extras as yadda yadda

Not sure why he's been reduced to doing crappy insurance ads though (I agree they are bloody annoying).

Ha ha! Just noticed at the bottom of that Wikipedia entry: "The advert was the banned by the Advertising Standards Authority on 28 April 2009 for being misleading – it implied that Iggy Pop himself had an insurance policy with Swiftcover when at the time the company did not insure musicians."

    That's quite funny.

However, they seem to have found a group of people who don't know what a sale is and have to arrange a family day trip  Yes, I know it's not real as the children are excited about about a trip to a furniture showroom.

yeah but dad told them that they were going to Disneyland, "There's the 'Sofa slide' and the 'Arm-chair ride' and hide and go seek with curtains, it'll lots of fun, much better than Alton Park"

The "fact me" Peugeot advert can't be for real. It's got to be a joke. Just from the tone of voices and body language from the actors they surely don't intended it as a serious advert?

Glad someone mentioned this one - this advert is truly appalling. Who greenlighted this ad?!

Yes, a bloody stupid campaign. Run the "we need more men" advert. Then the next day "oh now we've got too many men, now we need more women". Then repeat.

All you are telling me is that the ratio between men and women is never right and that's hardly conducive for a good dating site is it?

    Plonkers.
