Chatter - cliquey or what!

I posted a thread a couple of hours ago and not one reply but the long-running threads are going strong.

Has anyone else found themselves getting totally ignored in chatter for no good reason?

Aww I don't think it's like that, it's more that posters have threads that they use (some have 1000's of posts) and I think they stick to these threads and don't really notice others.

Oi Mister, not us sequin lovers!!!!!!!!!

They can be very friendly if you make the effort, question is do you really want to make the effort.

Threads like yes/no etc are a good way to break the ice.

OP I was about to post in it but I'd have just gone on a rant about people in their 20's banging on about getting old.

Happy birthday for tomorrow by the way even though your post annoyed me.

What are you talking about, you had several friendly replies from the regulars in Chatter. Your post count doesn't go up in Chatter anyway. If you actually posted in the Coffee Lounge you would be made most welcome and not ignored.
There are very friendly people in there of all ages.

I think I've been in there once or twice for curiosity, but that's about it though. There's nothing in there that appeals to me subject wise.

There were no replies at the time I made this thread or I wouldn't have made it.

I'm put off by threads like the Coffee Lounge, if I'm honest. To suddenly start posting in the long-running threads when I don't really know anyone would feel like going to a party uninvited...

I've been trying to figure out where all the time has gone but I got nothing.

I loved my early twenties. I'm going to miss them.

No but late 20s is a funny age.
I too was troubled about thinking that at 30 my life would basically be over.
    I was honestly that bothered.:D

For some reason after 30 you gradually become less bothered about it.

I'm sure it's the same with many people too.

If I had to guess why there's a late 20s crisis I'd say that it's because when you're that young you're pretty much indoctrinated by the media to be ageist.

(If anybody has a link to the thread on chatter I'll post this post over there)
