Really seems to be dying on its backside. Very few callers nowadays. A lot of airtime taken up with the 3 of them prattling on about there outdated views of football.
Been listening to Total sport on BBC Newcastle lately and it is much better with there up to date presenters.
Personally I would like to see BBC Tees and Newcastle link up for the 2 hour slot, then I think it would finally kill the 3 legends off for good or at least make Real radio realise that they need some presenters that are more akin to the modern football world.
The only one who is half decent is the Boro legend Bernie Slaven

I agree with your opinion that the three legends is a pale shadow of its former self and the number of callers seems to be in the decline. Listened the other night and there were only three calls in the first hour.
'Total Sport' has been a breath of fresh air on BBC Newcastle although I feel Steve Howey is trying too hard to be a 'personality'.Marco in contrast is knowledgable and Simon Pryde is a decent anchorman but they seem to be struggling for callers as well at times.
Overall, two similar type shows on at the same time....... maybe something will have to give.
Listened to the odd one before, and it seems like it is basically a voice for Middlesbrough football club and not really a show where the fans can voice there true opinions
Indeed, whatever the quality of the show, at least the Legends allow people to speak their opinions. I'd take that any day over BBC Tees' pre selected callers who'll only say positive things about Middlesbrough Football Club.
