Do you think next year's X-factor winner will do a cover version of 'killing in the name of'.
It'll be a dead cert winner. If a crap band like RATM can do with that song surely superior X-factor winner would get the number one slot :p:p
@joemcelderry91
Heyy guys thankyou to everybody that bought the single and supported me! Well done to ratm for a interesting chart battle xx 10 minutes ago from txt
A lovely message from a great lad. Still smiling and is a credit to the youngsters of today, just a shame his peers didn't support him.
Perhaps they'll pick next years Grammy nominated song they expect to win that award.
How are they going to market Joe's next year Christmas album now i.e.'the album that has the christmas no.1 (delete) & Grammy awarded song (delete)'.
Jedward for Eurovision
I quite liked the Killing In The Name song actually but for some reason Joe's song seemed to suit him even more now he only reached No. 2.
Not necessarily, Gina G was Australian, Katrina from Katrina and the Waves was an Irish American.
How did Simon let Joe down? The final 4 (I think) recorded the track, not just Joe.
those who downloaded the single will never listen to it again.
well considering I own the original album and have listened to the single many times before downloading it again this week - and listening to it many more times - i'd probably go
I doubt anybody will turn up ..... those who downloaded the single will never listen to it again.
I most definitely will listen to it. I associate RATM with a time in my life. I'd forgotten them until this campaign came along, but downloaded the entire album and have been playing it quite a bit.
Got to say, the digital version of the album sounds a lot better than the crappy tape copy I had at the time
It seems to mean that people will vote and buy in their thousands for something inconsequential ....... ask them to go out in a General Election to vote for something real important, and these 'carrot led' youngsters are absolutely clueless.
That's youth today ..... says quite a lot about this country.:(:(
I'm a youth. I'm already completely disillusioned with politics, I know that whichever side gets voted in the same agenda is always pushed for because the politicians we think are in control are not really in control. In fact I was more impressed with the people power getting ratm to the number one spot this year. It showed that some of us actually do have independent minds that aren't completely manipulated by television and the rest of the media.

Just a bit.
I'm not sorry for Cowell but I feel so sorry for Joe ...... why did it have to happen to him and his year.

Has she really?!
I loved her in Clueless!
Don't bring the house of lords into the arguement:p:p
count me in
That would be awesome.
This is a brilliant idea

More to the point, a shame Simon Cowell let him down with a lazy crap song. He deserved better.
I'd love that...:o
(They'd have to represent Ireland though, right?)

You'll be extremely surprised.
Precisely. No care was taken in finding a song to suit him, just a one-size-to-fit-all recycled bit of cliche.
No one is stopping you.
