Compares very poorly with the 2000 special shown the other day. Shame.

And Victoria was angry because the Beeb didn't schedule this programme for primetime on Christmas Day.

In my opinion the suits should have aired this programme after Christmas: an ideal accompaniment to the rest of the reheated turkeys.

45 mins in and I've given up because it's just not funny. I've deleted the programme from Sky+. What a pity. I love Victoria Wood usually.

The thread title should be changed to Anyone Still Watching Victoria Wood :D

There's more laughs on The Celebrity Shock List.

It seems to be a night for disappointing rubbish. My Family was rubbish too.
She is singing her trademark classic now, highlight of the show.

it's overproduced, overly fast cutting or something. Doesn't feel like the old shows at all.

Just show us Two Soups again and leave it at that, please.

I caught that last bit on the piano. That WAS entertaining. I remember her doing that on that show when she was on stage with all the celebs in the audience, upteen years ago which has been repeated loads of times.

'Beat me on the bottom with me woman's weekly' is always funny. Some of the words updated of course, Russell Brand was probably in short pants when she did sang it that night! lol

We are all sitting here really looking forward to this, and none of us laughed once.

It was such a let down.

The jokes just didnt work, and they kept on coming BACK to the same idea over and over again.

I cant understand how people said YES to this, I dont want this in my mind polluting my previous feelings towards Victoria wood.

Very disappointing. I liked the Bo Beaumont spoof documentary but the rest was poor. Lark Pies was particularly annoying and took up too much time.

Ive been a fan of VW's for years, I've even seen her at the Royal Albert Hall (twice)... but this was awful. I stuck with it out of loyalty, but was not repaid! There weren't any laughs, and none of the old gang on board. Oh dear... :o:cry:

This show was utter rubbish. I lasted about half an hour. She used to be brilliant. What happened ?

Completed a night of pure carp. My Family followed by this. I lasted 10 mins then had to switch over. She has done some funny songs in the past but most of her stuff passes me by.
