I find it the weirdest programme. When I hear it it's with utterly conflicting thoughts, disbelief, horror, loathing at one end of the spectrum and amusement, laughing out loud and appreciation at the other. It's like something from an strange parallel universe that's landed in the R4 schedule.
This series has been patchy and the Count has lost some of his charm but the way he accelerates into a stream of uncontrollable malapropisms is as funny as ever. The community radio spoof in the last episode was a nice touch.

To me that's the problem. There is one, just ONE joke, which is the fact that he gets his words mixed up.
It might be funny the first few times, but after that it is just annoying.
This is one the best things on the radio, the man is a genius, I play the shows about four to five times on U tube and each time it gets better. He reminds me of Harry Worth and Del Boy if combined. The vidoes on U Tube show he plays the character with timing that is only matched by such as the great Tony Hancock. You love him or hate him and I love him.

Radio 4 comedy is normally excellent, but Count Arthur Strong lets them down badly.
In my opion, of course.

I think this programme is brilliant.
Probably the best comedy on radio 4.
