You should watch the pilot episode first so you know why the characters are there but don't let the chav lass put you off.

Despite David Tennant's appearance.
Series 2 ok, some very dodgy 'smell the fart' acting from some.
Series 3 a marked improvement on Series 2.
Definitely worth a watch :-)
Are you serious? Or just trolling? i honestly find this statement bizarre.
Its probably worth a look but be under no illusions...it is pure CBBC and is a kids show, NOT a family show. despite some of the inexplicable comments on this thread.
Simplistic plotting and acting. But if i was 8 i'd probably love it.
Sometimes it looks a bit cheap (only three non-speaking extras per episode, lots of deserted locations), but its heart is in the right place.
Lis is great.
Nope, SJA is the natural successor to classic Who. It's consistently well plotted, simple, engaging and fun, with likable characters who are not the angst ridden soap stereotypes of nu-Who, and with solid stories which actually make sense. Best of all, it isn't afraid to embrace Who history to a degree the parent show rarely does: look at the flashback scene to Sarah's past adventures in the 70s or the casual, unforced and unhyped inclusion of the Brigadier, or even little touches like Harry Sullivan's picture in Sarah's attic. OK, it's cheap, but it never feels cheap. It doesn't need a big budget to be good TV. I'd recommend it to anyone.
?????
Have you ever watched it? Just curious, cos what are you seeing that Im not
I still dont see it myself but you make some very good points.
I guess it's just not for me.
I have only seen series 3.
I'm assuming from all the question marks that you wish to ask a question? If so then just ask it, dont post an obtuse response like that which is ultimately meaningless.
When somebody types ???? I'm sure they really mean "What the Hell are you on about?"
but its easier to type ????
and i understand. the comments here are nowhere near inexplicable!
I enjoy SJA form time to time too, despite the fact its clearly a kids show.
That, and Horrible Histories
Lol, i know!
Dont get me wrong, i quite enjoyed what i saw of SJA but in my opinion (and i realise this is totally arguable) i found the plots very simplistic and the acting a bit wooden. But i think it has its place, just to me it is clearly a show to be enjoyed more by kids rather than the whole family (again this isnt meant as a slur, just as i see it), unlike its parent show which has pretty much universal; appeal.
And im not bashing on kids tv at all. I'd rather watch Bagpuss than 99 percent of ITV and BBC drama output.
Box of Delights, Children of Greene Knowe, Moondial, Narnia, Children of the Stones, The Changes, Century Falls, Dark Season ... every one of them worth a watch.
See i love Box of Delights (showed DVD by relative as not old enough to see it first time) and Moondial. To me SJA just doesnt reach the same heights as those and the like.
