I wanted to write a bit of a tribute to my cat, Sibbs, who died Saturday night.
He was such a fantastic cat. Everyone loved Sibbs.
He would bring "presents" home. I don't know if he didn't like what I served up in his bowl ("here add this next time, bit more flavour, texture and crunch!), as an extra ingredient for us to try ("here, put this in that stew, I think you'll find it's quite tasty") or, in true, gentlemanly fashion, something for mummy ("and all because the lady loves .... a dead mouse").
He was the purr-iest cat I had ever known ... he would purr all the time, even when he was taking lumps out of you. It was such a loud purr too ... you could always locate him about the house.
He was never a lap cat ... I always felt very honoured if he got on my lap and I'm sure he felt the same way too (him honouring me with his presence!). He really was one of those cats that sleep anywhere ... and never one place for very long - 3 weeks tops and he would find somewhere new.
He was gentle to my son. When he was a toddler and pick him up, Sibbs wouldn't move, just let himself be picked up and toddled around with. If we had tried the same thing, we would have ended up at A&E! (He also hated him tummy being touched - that was an instant red card).
So goodbye Sibbs, thank you for being my friend. I will miss you so much.

I always remember the pets I had as a child so hopefully Sibbs will have taught your son the pleasures & happiness that living with a cat brings & will be able to provide a loving home for other cats when he grows up ~ if Sibbs can do that then he lived a worthy life:).
What a lovely tribute to him, I bet he had a wonderful life!
Sending you lots of love xx
