I hope she's not thinking of going into TV crimefighting. I really don't think I could bring myself to watch a sleuth who used the word "hubbywubby".

Ooo yes, Gene Hunt. And I would hope he'd punch the murderer before he was sent down! :D

Jessica Fletcher probably did it. I am surprised she is not main suspect every time, every episode she is at the scene of the murder. Suspicious yes?

Hercule Poirot (played by David Suchet and accompanied by Hastings, of course)

Judge Dredd as he'd be judge, jury and executioner as well.

I'd hope I was murdered in a armed bank raid in my flair trousers so The Sweeney can kick some arse 70's style.

Columbo very rarely allowed the killer to kill for a second time unlike some British cops:o
Or Andy Dalziel if it happened here :)
    Andy Dalziel is the business.

However I would go for Jack Halford, Brian Lane and Gerry Standing even if I did have to wait 20 years for it to be solved;)

Sherlock Holmes might not really be that bothered in solving it, I'm not a German count or an impoverished russian poet.

Miss Marple would likely be out of her depth in early 21st century Britain.

Jessica Fletcher as we all know is a cold calculating serial killer. Likely as not she has killed thousands.

Columbo in his peak (70s) would be the best because he's so fair minded about victims. Movie star or beggarman it's all the same to the lieutenant.

The Criminal Minds team. Out of the four fellas I would only refuse one. Dead or alive I would want them on my case :D

Ooh I agree! I'm guessing that Rossi is the no-go? :D He reminds me of a thunderbirds puppet! And Garcia can do her computer ninja stuff and solve my murder in seconds. :D

If none of them are available I'm going for Mac Taylor. As long as he brings Danny with him. :o:D

Inspector Adam Dalgliesh (P.D James) or the entire Behavioural Analysis Unit from Criminal Minds.

To have Garcia solve my case in her ever so funky manner would be riveting.

On another note, if my poor dead body needed an autopsy, I'd want it done by medical examiner Alex Woods (Khandi Alexander) of CSI Miami - she has a somewhat creepy affection for dead bodies (and I quite like the idea of the medical examiner carressing my cheek and speaking soothingly to me as she uses her saw to cut my torso open).

Detective Jeff Slade from Crime Traveller, played by Michael French.

A time traveller, a bit like Doctor Who but, if I remember correctly, he went back and prevented the crime from happening.

As a bonus I might bump into Science Officer Holly Turner played by Chloë Annett. Oh, dream on ...
