During the years since Brrokside was axed some of the actors have not been seen on television. What has happened to them. I know Claire Sweeney and Jennifer Ellison is still doing well and also Raymond Quinn. Tina Malone has been very successful in Shameless. Whatever happened to Diane Burke, Alex Fletcher & Tiffany Chapma to name a view.

and i iexpect theres been a fair few in the Bill, casualty and Holby also
I actually miss brookside- the guy who played trevor jordache is now in fair city (irish piece of crap that masquerades as a soap)- he was from ireland
fair city is absolute crap
the guy who plays bob was great as trevor jordache
i like your name though lol- shane parrish god rest him and his poisoned finger lol
The woman who plays Pearl in Emmerdale has been in Coronation St and in Brookside.
That Jed Stone character whom Tony Gordon killed (or did he?) in Coronation St was also in Brookside.
Give me a while longer and I'll see if I can think of any more.
And yup; Fair City is muck.
I really liked both of those actresses too. Various ex cast members have cropped up in Family Affairs and Shameless. Phillip Olivier's been in a few things but there are quite a few (like Alex Fletcher and Dean Sullivan) that I havent seen in anything since. I think I read on here that the guy who played Mike Dixon is now a driving instructor.
ray quinn did the x facor and DOI
didn't the older brother of ray quinn's character end up in HO?
the guy going out with jennifer ellison's sister in brookie ended up in a HO spin off as did Tinhead
sinbad was rubbish in corrie
the one who played bev ended up in a daz advert
Oooh yes, you're right he did. I had forgotten about that. He was a fireman friend of Ben Davies wasn't he? If I remember rightly, the actor also changed his name didn't he?
he played someone called callum if i remember rightly and was a complete tosser
ben was fit though
I think his name was Dean Sullivan
That girl who played Rachel also appeared in Emmerdale as a nurse for Donald de Souza
Jackie Corkhill (Sue Jenkins) is in a daz advert with Julie Goodyear.
I often wonder what ever happened to Jackie Dixon! She was a good actress
Sunetra Sarker who played Nisha Batra, has now got a full time role on Casualty playing Zoe Hanna.
Suzanne Packer who played Josie Brooks is also on Casualty, full time, playing Tess Bateman.
Nicola Stephenson who played Margaret Clemence has gone on to star in the trilogy - Northen Lights/City Lights/Christmas Lights. She has also been in a BBC1 programme called The Chase. Clocking Off & Holby City are also another two programmes she has appeared in.
Sue Jenkins who played Jackie Corkhill has done well for herself. She has the famous son known as Richard Fleeshman. Moving on Sue Jenkins has appeard in both Emmerdale and Coronation Street. She recently been in the Daz Adverts on TV, with Dean Gaffney and Julie Goodyear. She also presented on the Loose Women panel during 2006. As well as having guest appearances on Midsomer Murders, Heartbeat and Dalziel & Pascoe
Claire Sweeney who played Lindsey Corkhill has managed to carve herself out as successful television presenter. On programmes such as 60 Minute Makeover and Loose Women. She has also appeared in the Big Brother house. She has a successful West End career as well. Big Brother was not her first reality programme. She also appeard on the first series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Sue Johnston who played Shelia Corkhill also starred in The Royle Family, which was a massive hit. And currently she is starring in the BBC1 drama Waking The Dead.
Tiffany Chapman who played Rachel Dixon has gone on to appear in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale.
Ricky Tomlinson who played Bobby Grant also went on to appear in the succesful programme, The Royle Family. He also starred in the ratings hit which was Cracker with Robbie Coltrane.
Anna Friel who played Beth Jordache went on to be successful in Britian as well as the USA. She starred in the hit programme Pushing Daisies which aired in the USA & UK. She also starred in the stage show of Breakfast at Tiffanys, in which she stripped off.
Emma Rigby who starred as Elena Jones went on to star in Hollyoaks as Hannah Ashworth, in which she recently left to pursue other acting oppurtunities.
Tina Malone who played Mo McGee went on to star in Shameless, in which she is still acting in. She also appeared in the Celebrity Big Brother House.
Gillian Kearney who played Debbie McGarth went on to have a full time role in Casualty as Jessica Harrison, and recently left because she was pregnant and is expected to marry her partner soon.
Meg Johnson who played Brigid McKenna has gone on to star in Emmerdale as Pearl Ladderbanks.
Matthew Crompton who played Dan Morrisey has gone on to star in Coronation Street as Dan Mason, in which he has now left. He also played the character of Sam Harker in ITV1's The Bill.
Ray Quinn who played Anthony Murray has gone on to appear on The X Factor and Dancing On Ice. He also had a record deal and has appeared in the stage show of Grease playing Danny.
Bernie Nolan who played Diane Murray went on to star in The Bill and is also one of the five Nolan Sister's who were massive back in the day.
Shirley Stelfox who played Madge Richmond is now starring in Emmerdale as Edna Birch.
Jennifer Ellison who played Emily Shadwick has gone on to be successful as well. Her main career as a model. She has also appeared on BBC1's Hotel Babylon as well as going on ITV1's Hell's Kitchen on which she went on to win.
Barry Sloane who played Sean Smith has been quite successful as well. He has gone on to appear in Hollyoaks as Niall Rafferty. As well as having guest appearances on The Bill, Casualty and Doctors.
Michael Starke who played Thomas 'Sinbad' Sweeney has gone on to appear in Coronation Street as Jerry Morton, but he was axed after a few years. He also played the porter Kenneth Hopkirk on The Royal.
As you can see I was a big fan of Brookside.
I don't remember her either! The only other role I remember her in besides Edna Birch is Rose in Keeping Up Appearances. It must have been very early Brookside when she appeared
Louis Emerick played Mike Bateman in Casualty (Tess's husband). Like Sue Johnston and Ricky Tomlinson (who later went on to The Royle Family), Louise Emerick and Suzanne Packer were also onscreen husband and wife in Brookside.
The last I heard about Justine Kerrigan, assuming you believe the stories reported in the tabloid press, was that she was teaching acting to psychiatric patients in mental hospital.
Jason Hope, who played Rod Corkhill didn't, remain in acting. He trained to be a hairdresser. There was a television programme several years ago about soaps and what the actors did afterwards - a little like what they did before they were famous, but in reverse.
Shelagh O'Hara, who played Karen Grant, didn't stay in an acting career either. In fact, it's a mystery what she did afterwards.
Simon O'Brien can be seen most weekday mornings, presenting To Buy Or Not To Buy. He also left the acting profession and took up property development.
Some people just can't make a living out of acting. As many actors will attest, it can be a lonely life, with large periods spent out of work. Sometimes, it is a matter of luck and being in the right place at the right time, and sometimes, it's not what you know, it's who you know.
