I would actually laugh - light a big cigar, pour a glass of wine and play the Hamlet tune

    Why ITV1 HD?

Last time they missed a goal, ITV HD viewers saw it and the SD ones missed it.

I'll Do what i did last time, Switch to sky Sport Germany ( who carried ITV's Comentary too) or ARD or ZDF and continue to watch the game and not miss the goal.

Technicolours Northern Transmission folk in Leeds were having a playabout on Granada last night. They kept changing the aspect ratio on Party People all the way through the program.

So there target maybe the four northern SD regions tonight.;)

I don't envy the man sitting in the hot seat in transmission control at Technicolor tonight...

...mainly when you consider how of his superiors from the company and ITV will doubtless be sitting just behind him.

ITV HD has disappeared from my Sky HD menu - what's that all about? Honestly: it reads C4, BBC, Sky1, FX...

Cryptic question to do with my card arrangements: is ITV HD somehow not available in the Channel Islands?

No it's not. You'll need to warch via 'other channels'.

I refuse to believe that even ITV would be capable of such incompetence.

If they are, I sure some people will be along to explain how it wasn't ITV's fault, because it never is, apparently.

I'd lock myself in hiding for the next 50 years so I don't have to hear about it...

Well clearly war would break out, the financial markets would crash and buildings would collapse because it would be VERY VERY SERIOUS.

In the Channel Islands it's available via the "red button" isn't it?

Given the performance so far tonight, there's no chance of that happening.

    What's with the wink?

I don't get the implication. Are you somehow suggesting it was deliberate? 'Cos what would they gain from that exactly?
