I would really recommend it, as long as your computer is fast enough. I dont think mine really is, thats probably why I've come across problems with it Good luck with it!

Yeah, I read the first sentence and was just going to add the second bit! If he was uncomfortable and it came across, then it conveniently fitted his character's situation. But I always admired his acting skills- I would never have guessed how uncomfortable he was purely from watching the scenes. I think James Sutton was pretty comfortable with it all, though, which probably helped Guy somwhat.
Even though Guy's discomfort never really came across (for me, anyway), it's totally in a different ballpark from Marc. Marc is just 100% comfortable, and that does come across.

Whatever the reasoning - one of the actors being gay irl, being comfortable with playing gay, good acting etc - for me when I am watching Christian and Syed together, it feels very real, and not forced at all. Unlike some of the other/previous gay storylines, where I have been aware of the fact that it's 'straight actors playing gay', ME and JP make me forget they're acting most of the time. Which, of course, is the whole point :rolleyes:
I was gonna mention that- it was a couple of them, a bisexual guy and two gay gays, and they werent allowed to give blood... and one of them tried to do a campaign if I remember right! Its an issue thats really p***** me off. I its such a backwards opinion and so wrong :mad::mad:

It's awful, really. My cousin's had sex with one bloke his whole life, and has been in a settled relationship with him for six years. My other cousin sleeps around fairly indiscriminately, isn't quite sure about the policies of this whole ~safe sex~ thing (God knows how many pregnancy scares she had before she turned 16 and got the Implant (while failing to recognise that it didn't protect you from STDs and you'd still have to have your partner wear a condom:rolleyes:) and she can give blood but my cousin can't? Test all blood and realise that anyone, whatever their sexuality can potentialy catch a sexually transmited disease and therfore can pass it on to others.

Even with McDean (which I think was very well-done), I often found myself thinking "ooh, this is convincing for two straight actors!" which... kind of defeats the purpose in a way. It reminds me on NYD (the prime example of good acting in this storyline for me, but hardly the only instance) , I never once thought "wow, Nina's a brilliant actress" or "Johnny's doing so well" or "Marc's so convincing here" during the scenes. I thought it during other scenes, but I was too caught up in the characters to give the actors much thought 'til after.
It's like this with Christian and Syed's physical affection- there's the odd moment where it's clearly Marc and Johnny having a lark about, but most of the time, I'm thinking "awww, aren't Christian and Syed adorable?" rather than "Marc's doing such a good job portraying someone in a gay relationship!"
