there are some interesting answers....although a lot seems to be in a language I don't understand!
EDIT: and from this answer ....are you sure your parents know what they are in for?!
"The cost of pursuing full-time studies and living in New York City is perhaps the highest in the world."
Thanks
Yeh i think they do, i was talking to my dad about it and he seemed pretty clued up. When i first mentioned it i wasn't expecting them to agree but I'm thrilled he has!
I remember when thinking about going to Uni, I had a funny five minutes and thought why not try Havard or Yale, both their websites were very helpful and had a whole section on international students, how to fund it, what grade requirements you required, even listed differences in how their degrees work out there, and information on where to take the SAT, I think London was the closest for me, although that was 4 years ago now
I would definitely look on the internet, I would have thought all the info would be there
I.......... it may seem a little spoiled, ...........Does anyone know how i go about taking the SATs, are there places in the UK where i can take them and study for them?
.......
It may be a new concept to you, but have you tried a technique called "research"?

How witty of you. Isn't that something that about 80% of the posters on the advice bored could do? And i did do research, but as you can probably see from posts like the one from *Ratbag* which was very helpful, that kind of first hand information can't really be found on the internet other than advice boards such as this one.
Haha! Picking the right man is an extraordinary talent in itself!! I hope you have some luck in getting state residency for your son!
We should be fine. The labor certification was done for the visa so isn't needed for the EB1 so all in all the green cards should be done in about 6 months.
Why don't you pose all these questions to NYU rather than asking on here, where clearly no one (no offense) really knows the answer. NYU will have an enquiries team - contact them and they'll be pleased to let you know exactly what you need to do.
a couple of years back there was a big push for international students, and they were offering all sorts of incentives (reduced fees etc) to go over there, so its worth doing some google searches to find out if there is anything similar this year

I've asked for advice on these boards myself, mainly seeking help from FMs' experience. However, if it's facts I'm looking for I always try google first. If I can't find it that way I mention it in my request.
In the two cases below, you were seeking information which I'd have thought would easily be found via google. In fact, some of the answers were by way of URLs. Hence my comments, which I feel are especially relevant of someone going to college.

I did (somewhat belatedly) think of that today! Silly me! I'm going to go call them now!

Is this how you spend your evenings? Going around trolling on advice threads? Don't you lead a rich and fulfilling life
