I do like the way his leftovers are a block of cheese costing about £5!
If he really has that amount of food left over, his has too much money or he is a very bad shopper!
I could live for a month on his left overs!
It's about time people appreciated him for his love of food, ideas and great recipes. His books are best sellers and he constantly wins awards.
Still it seems as this thread demonstrates people go for style over substance, which I guess is why we end up with poor 'celebrity chefs' rather than those that can cook proper food.
Unless there are some really tasty wild mushrooms growing there

Probably true about his personality vs written style, but I like him anyway.
I find his advice is more practical and useful than the majority of TV chefs. Like all these chef types he has fresh herbs growing with perfection in his garden, and even his leftovers look better than anything I'm taking OUT of my Asda carrier bag, but that's the nature of these types of programmes.
Better anyway than watching Nigella who appears to have become a parody of herself. Proof is in the pudding, so to speak, when Harry Hill can't wait to take the p*ss out of her programmes.

i first came across him in the observer and made his mackerel wrapped in bacon and lemon spuds. awesome.
If you count the spaces as characters there are actually 16 characters for the first one, and 15 characters on the second. So alternate saved himself one less keystroke

Very creepy.
What I found annoying about last night's programme was that there was virtually no food in the kitchen yet the main ingredients for his recipes were all going off. It was so staged that it really annoyed me.
