I do like the way his leftovers are a block of cheese costing about £5!

If he really has that amount of food left over, his has too much money or he is a very bad shopper!

I could live for a month on his left overs!

He always gets criticised despite his cookery genius.

It's about time people appreciated him for his love of food, ideas and great recipes. His books are best sellers and he constantly wins awards.

Still it seems as this thread demonstrates people go for style over substance, which I guess is why we end up with poor 'celebrity chefs' rather than those that can cook proper food.

That programme he does is really slick for a cookery show.

He's one of my favourite cookery writers - but I don't like him that much on TV. His personality comes across better on the printed page,

I couldn't be arsed to open another browser window, seeing that this is a forum, where some helpful people might know the answer, without me having to bother with the extra key strokes needed to search for it...

Probably true about his personality vs written style, but I like him anyway.

I find his advice is more practical and useful than the majority of TV chefs. Like all these chef types he has fresh herbs growing with perfection in his garden, and even his leftovers look better than anything I'm taking OUT of my Asda carrier bag, but that's the nature of these types of programmes.

Better anyway than watching Nigella who appears to have become a parody of herself. Proof is in the pudding, so to speak, when Harry Hill can't wait to take the p*ss out of her programmes.

    So.

He is a TV chef. (11 characters).

    What is Google? (12 characters).

alternate could have saved, typing 1 character by answering...

Anyway, I googled it/him and now know the answer. Not that I'm really that bothered..

If you count the spaces as characters there are actually 16 characters for the first one, and 15 characters on the second. So alternate saved himself one less keystroke :D:D

Sorry just messing with you, joking honest :D:D

He looks old and worn out before his time. A sort of Gillian McKeith for cookery programmes.

What I found annoying about last night's programme was that there was virtually no food in the kitchen yet the main ingredients for his recipes were all going off. It was so staged that it really annoyed me.

I really like his cooking and the show, but I agree with the OP (to a point), that there is something about his screen presence. I wouldn't go so far as to say creepy though.

I really like his programme. All the food looks tasty and easy to cook. He seems like a nice bloke too.
