How stupid of Bryant to call that comment homophobic, there was Christmas banter and bluster going on from both sides but as usual Labour and especially Bryant have to twist and turn it into something ridiculous and try and create something out of nothing!
He probably didnt even realise it could be construed as homophobic until after he said it and the reaction he got. I think it was just meant as banter, and as others have said the labour mp started the pantomime theme in the first place.
I think I'm going to be very ill! George Osborne may be an obnoxious prat (feeling better already), but this was a harmless bit of banter and people complaininng need to get a life.
Ann Widdecombe said the other day on Sky News. " So what" - when it was mentioned the deputy speaker has come out. The problem is this is becoming more common now with in the four walls of the house of commons, and they have got to used to it.
Nasty banter and jibes can cause offence, maybe this needs to be addressed. I reckon more is to come in 2011 about this in politics.
So what what? I don't care if the Magna Carta or the American Declaration of Independence were signed by homosexuals. I was just saying.
Isn't this just another case of part of the community hijacking something from the English language and then using it to beat the rest of the community with?
I'm old enough to remember when happy and carefree folks were called gay

If you can't stand the heat, keep out of the kitchen comes to mind.
Do you have a phobia about rich people?

Biffo is a good-natured neophyte socialist. He occasionally wants to suck off men too, which makes him OK in my book
Some people taking the role of pantomime dames may be homosexual.
Principle Boy could be constued as such as they are played by women
There isn't much left as Bryant had used up Baron Hardup and Prince Charming
Some people in the SAS may be homosexual!!!!
Some people playing cowboy heroes were, some people making love to doris day were, some VCs were....and on and on.
So what?

[bvgger, beaten to it - damn this mobile internet connection]
Now, if Osborne shouted that, it could have been constued as homophobic!
