Arcade Fire's The Suburbs should run away with this.:)
The finest folk-rock album since, well, their last one!:D
Of course it should but as you say this particular award is a joke. Katy Perry and Lady Gaga or one of the finest bands of the last decade, mmm rubs chin.
The Fame wasn't a great album, some of the tracks on there are horrendous. Though, that's the same with most albums.
I hope The Fame Monster does well, I love all 8 tracks.

Lady GaGa is one of the finest female singers of the last decade

When the fame came out i thought it was amazing, its still good but its lost its charm. Only about 7 or 8 of the tracks are brillant.
Gaga/Arcade Fire are the best of the available options but IMO TFM is too short to warrant a win, and Suburbs is too long in general... that being said, Katy being nominated invalidates the whole thing completely: she's such a basic songwriter. I thought her album was okay, but come on now. Her nomination is a joke.

Apart from the fact that Arcade Fire aren't rock in the least. Wish people would stop calling them a rock band, they're indie/folk pop.
Anyways apart from Eminem - Recovery, none of those albums deserve to be there. The list is missing Iron Maiden's The Final Frontier and Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare, the two finest rock albums released this year.

Could you imagine Lady GaGa's face as Avenged Sevenfold take the award!?:D
And, to be honest, I did say folk-rock. Heavier on the folk there.;)

The Fame was a bit of a rubbish album to be honest, I think she'll have more of a chance this time around.
Taylor Swift.:yawn::sleep:
She's fast becoming another Grammy Darling, as with Beyonce, Alicia, et al.:(
Wow that's shocking. I'm a Katy Perry fan, but singles aside, Teenage Dream is shockingly bad.

So are the singles, bar Firework.

The Fame Monster deserves to win.
I might consider buying this, if its THAT good.
I don't have a favourite album this year.

Eminem has it in the Bag
true, she hardly ever wins american things LMAO
I hope he wins over Katy overrated Perry.
Exactly-like everyone else I don't know why she's nominated for Album of The Year. Has this year really been that bad for albums?
It really has.
Except the 11 VMAs in two years.
But they don't really count!:p
