OK, I've read the 2010 Christmas special thread and I'm interested to see how peopel rate it compared to the others.

For my penny's worth,

1. The Runaway Bride
2. A Christmas Carol
3. Voyage of the Damned
4. The Next Doctor
5. The End of Time Part 1

though I reserve the option to reverse 1 and 2 after further viewings.

1. The Christmas Invasion - Simply because it was the first and a very brave venture which paid off!
2. A Christmas Carol, just simply brilliantly christmassy!
3. The Runaway Bride - Tate stole the show!
4. The End of Time Pt 2 (sorry, I thought it was great!)
5. The Next Doctor - Great idea, p poor ending IMO!
6. Voyage of the Damned great story, acting and Wilf!
7. End of Time Pt 1 - It just didnt "pump my nads" so to speak!

If 'The End Of Time' had broadcast in full at christmas, it would have been a harder choice, but with part 1 alone, thats how it stands.

Unless thou eyes deceive me, A Christmas Carol is the only one out of the entire lot to not be at the bottom of any list

try telling them that in the rant the episode thread, where the nay sayers seem under the impression that everyone hated it because they did.

Everyone has an equal opinion, although I was told earlier elsewhere "You are rather biased as you love everything Matt Smith/Series 5, so you're opinion isn't as solid."

What are people on???!!! I actually rank Series 5 second-to-poorest ahead of Series 3 in terms of quality purely on a full-picture basis - not because of Smith or Gillan or any one aspect of the show. A Christmas Carol has become one of my favourite episodes ever (but then I was a previous fan of Jenkins, Gambon, A Christmas Carol and Terry Pratchett - who seems a major inspiration for this) which is quite a bold statement that may or may not stand in a few weeks/months. Nonetheless, I can say I think it is worthy of the 'Best Xmas Episode' title

EDIT: Oh and to those whom endorse the quotation that was directed at me, I should point out that ACC is in fact technically speaking Series 6, so the Series 5 argument is void anyway

Those are on repeat viewings don't know where Christmas Carol's going yet. Runaway Bride grew on me after time, not sure how A Christmas Carol with be on repeat viewings.
