Really? The man looks dog ruff. I would agree with you when he first came in to Corrie but nowadays he actually looks like he has been hitting the bottle in real life.
It may be all just make-up but ever since his return he looks like he hasn't had more than 4 hours sleep in a week.

I like the fact that he isn't a 'hunk' or a 'pretty boy' brought in to obviously charm the ladies.
He's much more realistically attractive and charismatic.
Also a really natural actor. My favourite on Corrie - hope they don't spoil the character too much.
Ditto all of the above! Chris Gascoyne is the reason Peter is one of my favourite characters on the show. I mean, Peter may not be the kind of guy you’d really want your daughter to bring home, but he is nonetheless a character who never fails to hold my interest and who always leaves me eager to see more of his story. And that is largely due to the fact that Chris Gascoyne is such a strong and charismatic actor, underplaying the role to perfection, and that the writing for Peter is usually pretty good, even – or maybe especially – when things are going badly for him. He's a deeply flawed character, but that’s one of the things that make him so interesting to watch. Plus, despite maybe not being conventionally good-looking, he is very easy on the eyes and, maybe most importantly of all, has a simply gorgeous voice that I could listen to all day!

You can have him.
I agree He looks like he needs a good scrub in the bath too
In the early '90s he was in Soldier Soldier and I also remember him in a BBC 1 law drama (can't remember the name of it), John Thompson was also in it.
I'm with the majority here and think he's really sexy, and yeh, that voice eh!
I'm glad it's not just me then. Must say didn't really notice him until the week of the Tram Crash and his marvellous 'breathless ' acting in hospital.
Who else could go from a spot-on impression of Andy from 'Little Britain' to another piece of heartbreaking acting. Chris surely deserves some plaudits. I'd give him a plaudit any day.....
And on the subject of Corrie, what a performance from Gary Windass this week. He actually made me cry.

I agree. He's one of the best actors on TV.
Lookswise I prefer Keith Duffy, but I've fancies him for years anyway.
