Another thing I just remembered - was anyone else a bit bemused when they made a big thing about Rachel being Joey's first love and conveniently whitewashed over the fact that his first love was Kate the actress?
Rachel was already Ross's first love they didn't need to make her Joey's as well.
Urgh I really didn't like Kate. Or anything to do with that play.
Am on Series 8, I dont know if this is a popular opinion but i couldnt stop laughing through series 7 and the start of series 8, best seasons since 4 or 5..

I loved that play! The build-up over so many episodes where you think it's a serious play about relationships, to the pay-off where Joey gets on a spaceship was absolutely brilliant.
One of my favourite episodes was the one where they all turn 30. Phoebe trying to distract everyone from drunk Monica was hilarious. "Woooooooooooo hoo!"

That was absolutely brilliant... I'd forgotten about that. And that wimpy understudy that Joey dated?
Chandler stuck in an ATM vestibule with Jill Connick was also rather funny.
'Gum would be perfection? Gum would be perfection! Could've said gum would be nice. Could've said I'll have a stick. But, no no no no, for me, gum is perfection.
When Jill Goodacre filmed her scene with Chandler in the ATM vestibule, she was engaged to Harry Connick Jnr, but by the time the episode aired, they were married. Hence, why she's credited as Jill Connick.

Cheers for that! I always presumed the actress was just playing someone different - didn't realise she was playing herself!
Joey: ...Because if he doesn't like you, this is all a moo point.
Rachel: Huh. A moo point?
Joey: Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.

Now that's excellent writing. It shows Joey isn't bright, but it has a weird sort of grounding in reality. You can see why he would make that mistake. If only they'd been able to write like that for him all the time. The one where he's on The Pyramid Game was on yesterday. It's almost as painful to watch as TOW he learns frnech. Just lazy, lazy gags all the way through.

we weren't meant to like Kate though, she was just meant to be a horrible miserable b1tch.
Poor Joey though.

The episode with Ben Stiller was hilarious, he was the one who played Rachel's angry boyfriend, and the only one who saw it was Ross.

I loathe myself'

Ah, so she was actually playing herself?

Yeah.
Chandler calling Joey to say he was trapped in there with her was a highlight of the season.
We learn something every day
And always something useful (...)
"Gay Porn?"

Favourite character had to be Ross ever since his mad celebration in the one where everyone finds out
Like it for "shovelly joooooe!"
How did Rachels dad end up with the house she grew up in, I thought her mam got it in the divorce though?
You made me turn it on, damn you!
Joey has just done his 'la fleep bu de la tweep' nonsense whilst reading words from a page!
The sheer awfulness of the entire plot still staggers me. What were they thinking?
