If this article is genuine, why now? By admitting to sleeping with married women, is he covering the bases in case there is more to just texting Polly. By being "honest" now, allows him not to be called a liar later.
Makes him a big hypocrite, with the article he did on Hurley.
But could it also be another passive aggressive dig at his ex wife, who is still married and dating. Could be.

Basically it looks like he is saying / boasting even that when he was young her would s**g anything with a pulse.
Now as he was a young pop singer and I expect women were all over him I don't see anything unusual in that but why bring it up now?.
I thought at first that maybe he was trying to change his saccharin image a bit and make himself look a bit more edgy.
But on one hand I would have though saying things like this will only alienate some of his female fans and on the other (bearing in mind that in IMO he is a bit feminine and certainly not a man's man) if he is trying to make himself seem more blokey he isn't going to appeal to men anyway
Think you could have hit the nail on the head here - All his column / interview comments seem to be canned to the hilt to make him come across as holier than thou (the thou often being his ex wife).
Also maybe there are some more stories of him about to come out of the woodwork and he is trying to pre empt this, and this is CAN's attempt at PR damage limitation.
But as usual, it just makes him come across as hugely hypocritical with an overly inflated ego and sense of importance. He was never even a 'major' star the first time round.
Makes a bit of a mockery of his holier than thou comments about Liz Hurley though doesn't it?
*Edit* Loved the bit about still fancying Elen but being too busy. Doing what exactly? Mind you, I suppose pimping yourself out can be pretty time consuming
He will do & say anything to get attention.
He needs to shut up, grow up & disappear.
that would be so perfect - but sadly fear it would then increase his determination for world domination for Junior - which would of course be down to Pete's amazing parenting and the opportunity he gave him when Juniors video was shown at his 'huge' cough, sold out 'cough' arena tour!
The other thing is, people complain about a celeb/zeleb wittering on and on to the media, when the DS articles that have led them to this belief all come from the same source interview.
It's probably better to read the source interview before making judgement. As PA's new series starts on April 28th (I saw a trailer for it this morning), I suspect that this is the reason for the source interview from which DS got their 'married women' quote.
I don't think there's anything 'passive/aggresive' about it. Though Katie 'It's-Everyone's-Fault-But-Mine' Price might beg to differ. What strikes me is that PA is willing to admit his mistakes, but I've yet to hear KP admit that she's done anything wrong.
whether or not, that's what they have done - he still said it - whether it was one sentence in an interview - or a whole interview about that subject.
Hmm... I wonder if Dad of the Year is worried about any other little Andres running around out there?
It seems to have originated at Now Magazine, and reads like a direct lift from his 2005 autobiography. They carefully don't say when he's supposed to have said it, and he hasn't given them an interview for years - they were even reduced to doing an OK special cut and paste on him with old pictures/words a few months ago.
Now is the magazine which appears to have least contact with Pete's side, being much closer to Jordan's. For instance, it supported her for a while post split and had her old mate Julie doing a column - before Jordan dumped her at the Reid/Price "Blessing". Don't think she appeared in it after that.
These women would have thrown themselves at Pete so you cannot blame him. They are the married ones and should be the ones to blame.
Nothing original in his performances, a mediocre plagiarist who will do anything for a freebie.
An easy way to make a living milking publicity with inane comments.
How many of his songs have reached the top of the charts
He is just a cheesy con, who is playing the game for which many of us have not fallen for, hook, line and sinker for
Is he getting his manopause early?
His picture should be next to the dictionary entry for passive aggressive
He really is a hypocrite and a tosser of the highest order.
He actually said it is wrong and regrets some of his actions. However, I don't why he is talking about his past behaviour though. I am not sure he has said it is wrong to start a relationship before getting divorced:
'....However, the 38-year-old explained that he regrets some of his decisions and would never make the same mistakes again.
He added: "If there's one piece of advice I could give it's stay away from married people. You don't know the damage you do.".....'
Be unsure no more! From his Plugging Column in Dec:
"I’ve always been a huge admirer of Liz Hurley, but I was a bit sad to hear that she’s been seeing Shane Warne while still married to Arun Nayar. I always think it’s better to wait until you’re divorced before you get involved with anyone else. It’s much more respectful that way."
Hypocritical sanctimonious holier-than-thou buttons-for-brains twonk.
What did he actually do in that time when we had the fortunate opportunity to completely forget he existed ?
I'm sure one of the fans will correct me but I'm sure I saw him on a programme once saying that he spent a few years working for the family business in Oz
Get off the fence, Lexi!!
And I thought I was hiding my true feelings so well!
