My Bangladeshi style beef curry, tarka dhall and pilau rice which we've eaten tonight with mango pickle, popadums and a little yoghurt to calm the beef down.
Been cooking it for 3 days now - & I have enough left for tomorrow's lunch

My OH would find your plate perfect - I love to cook but he never has an appetite but he can usually manage something simple like that. Sometimes simple is best
@ Altheya - I can't bake to save my life - your cakes look amazing & so professional!
Here's my last attempt - didn't read the cooker dial right
Thank you, I rely on the fact that icing hides a multitude of sins however, I suck at icing so toppings are a must
Chicken in a tomato & basil sauce, parmesan crusted baked aubergine with buffalo mozarella and garlic and rosemary crispy potatoes. My photography is crap but it tasted wonderful! http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/235/p1000473c.jpg

I'm sure this has a name but I just put together what I had. Basics plus chicken thighs, peppers and chillies on a bed of tagliatelle. Chillies were disappointingly mild but OH enjoyed it.

I love the colours - colourful food is very uplifting for the spirit  and even if the chillies were mild, I am sure they tasted 'fruity'
Thanks. I agree LCG (if I may call you that) I'm very keen on colour as an appetiser to the food. I also like contrasting textures in food. I'm not very good with dry food though.
Last night's dinner ended up being a bit of a mish-mash  We had wholemeal pasta in a tomato sauce with mushrooms, garlie and herb chicken breast with saald.

why thank you.
Steak and salad; can't think of anything better!
 That's impressive.
Thank you - we miss our Nottingham Indian take outs out here (Our fave was the Oakdale Tandoori) so I've had to learn how to cook decent versions
That looks really good.
