Nice to hear about the story here but sadly for Matt the stories about him at V aren't so nice. He has been sighted as rude, arrogant and very drunk and disorderly all weekend to the point even Daisy Lowe was a little embarrassed. If true I am a little disappointed in him, he can't go around being rude to fans telling them he doesn't want to sign one autograph for fear of opening up a fan floodgate. He's got to remember that he might forget meeting fans but they'll remember it for the rest of their lives in a lot of cases.

I've heard reports he had too much to drink, in fact am happy to provide a link to those (see below), but no mention of him doing anything worse than being sick, unless you have some other sources citing his rudeness to fans.
Sadly I have no sources, that's why I am a tad skeptical but a journalist on Twitter, one who has always been nothing but nice and praiseful towards Matt tweeter that he had been rude and arrogant all weekend to fans.
I did also hear similar, but not quite as strong remarks about Matt from a friend who went to Latitude festival last month. She also said that Karen and Arthur were lovely but Matt was somewhat distant and aloof. So who knows.
Nice to hear he's following in Tom Baker's footsteps
But serioiusly, how many of the other Twenty-somethings who were also there did the same thing, & worse, if they were anything like me & the people I knew at that age.

subjective opinion of course. May be biased against Matt for whatever reason. I would say that as the Doctor, you are really never off duty, no matter how annoying it might be to be hassled. Comes with the territory.

Hmm, well having tracked down who you mean colour me sceptical, as the media would have been all over it like a rash if it were the case rather than making a story out of someone being sick in a bin.
It must be tough. I mean, Matt is still very young. Three years ago he could probably do these things and no one would bat an eyelid. Nowadays he's one of the most recognised faces in the UK, who can't even walk past a mirror without it asking him for an autograph...
(or he thinks it does - fame might have that effect on some people...)

There was a story Muttley in one of the newspapers about him getting preferential treatment in a burger van queue (the glamour) and being a bit of an arse - might have been the Mirror, tho (same source as tweet)
The only reason I'd believe he perhaps was a little more aloof than normal is the fact Dean Piper has never not been positive about Matt, or Daisy for that matter.
There was a rather nice story about Matt posted by someone on GB the other day, how he spent some minutes in a break in filming for that olympic rower drama chatting to some young boys for quite some time walking up to the base camp about all manner of things. If your registered to GB you can read it here:
He reminds me a lot of Patrick T - the naughty boy pretending to be an old man.
I do see the Troughton influence in his portrayal, ironically quite often in the quieter moment, for example the bedside scene with Ameilia Pond in The Big Bang has echoes of the second doctors conversation with Victoria about the loss of his/her family in Tomb of the Cybermen.

We all have bad days I suppose.
I linked to the article in the Mirror. Doesn't say anything like that.
Anyway, it's not really relevant to this thread, so I'm going to leave it there.
Shall we start a new thread?
I think it was print Metro. Anyway, its just tittle-tattle.
I just didn't want to start a whole new thread on something that may not actually be that accurate at the end of the day.

I do love that he loves Pat Troughton so much.
