I assumed this was a nod to "The Graduate" where the Anne Bancroft older woman, Mrs. Robinson, assumed a similar pose to River Song (albeit in stockings & suspenders) to seduce Benjamin played by Dustin Hoffman!

"Are you trying to seduce me Mrs. Robinson?"
This, without a doubt. Just lok at the pose River takes. It's the classic Graduate shot. "The Graduate" ia also the classic "mature lady" film, which is what River was talking about.
I guess that film is a bit old now for many people to get the reference.
EDIT: Let's not forget that the Doctor already made a reference to this when giving his fake code-names for Amy, rory and River to President Nixon.

Me!
No, I was confused by this too. The Fourth Dimension says it was alluding to something with Mrs. Robinson in it. I don't know who Mrs. Robinson is either, other than the Doctor called River it in The Impossible Astronaut.

"The Legs, the Nose and Mrs. Robinson."
Surely the really classic movies are never forgotten?

As well as being one of the founding fathers, I've always kind of known that Benjamin Franklin is a reference to a make of gun, so when they did the quick flashback and showed the gun on the chair as she said it, that's what I assumed it to be about.

but she was doing the iconic pose from The Graduate
I'm always going to think that now, every time I see that scene.
Watch it again - she lifts her left leg, looks down and says "Hello Benjamin" - then run off to the bathroom to "check something". With "Benjamin" in mind, listen to her dialogue.
And I thought women only named their boobs. (They are all called Pinky and Perky aren't they?)

Now, was anyone else also thinking River Song's final choice of Nazi attire also paid homage to The Night Porter?
