I watched this episode for the second time yesterday, and it was much better on second viewing, imo.
Maybe after all the high drama of LKH, I was expecting more action or something but as a stand alone episode this one really is excellant.
One for everybody, really and it goes back to the old "watching from behind the sofa" feel of Doctor Who that I remember from my childhood.
I think in a way that having access to all the spoilers ruins it a bit - it was much better when you sat down to watch it not having a clue what was going to happen next. I might try to stay way from spoilers for the rest of the series (if I can resist the temptation!)
didn't the Doctor mention about something staring him right in the face or similar. Didn't he feel that way about the pirate ship and there was a space ship he couldn't see.

Derek was bad enough, now I've got to look up Morse Code?
It's enough to drive you dotty.
Didn't you learn that while assisting the Resistance back in the war Granny?
I learnt it when I was a spy in the First World War, but I've forgotten it now, sadly. (My age, you know )
Me and Mata Hari - best mates. We used to swap outfits.
that don't make sense.
I used dashes and dots, a bit easier
Sorry, try this.
