:eek: He's has obviously done the usual man thing of "forgetting" what he actually did to you in the summer and made the mistake of thinking that you had also..
Kick Off is 7:45 so you could let him watch the first half and then send him off to the pub.:D:D
Or suggest that the pub will have a 52 inch screen so he should watch it all there.

ooh ooh - my in-laws in England have enclosed an interview from a Saturday paper - talks about happy ending AND would do S6 if it was wanted!!!!!!!!! Probably the Daily Express
Apart from what I posted above plus nice words about Eileen Atkins and a slight implication that it's her presence that prevents him from scooting off to London, nothing that we haven't heard before.
No-one has mentioned KP's departure and the new receptionist
Aaah right...Thanks SR!:D
And no, come to think of it. There has been plenty said about AJ but nothing about Pauline.
I don't know about you guys.....but for me, excited is an understatement!!
I'm counting the hours!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Last night my hubby (bear in mind this is the same hubby that only just avoided being divorced!!!) announced that he wanted to watch Leeds Utd on Monday night on Sky. He then adds that it's on at the same time as Doc Martin.
Any guesses as to my reply?????:p
Umm, five words for your darling husband
Pub....Pub meal.....Beer.....Football....home (only after DM has aired leaving you in peace to watch it )
Okay, I've just found it. Its in the express magazine, I can't upload it anywhere myself but i'm happy to scan and email it to someone who can. It says 'I had to get Jack to write a nice happy ending to the fourth series. And the same with this one. though I can't give away what happens'. Then it ends with 'Martin says he is not particularly ambitious, but that he and Philippa would gladly make another series of Doc Martin if ITV asks for it.' :D:D

Well that's pretty positive:D:D
Time to plan the lobbying campaign of ITV methinks:D:D

Thanks Han and GS It's a pretty good article all in all. But it's certainly confusing when you read all these articles and each of them has a slightly different take on how things are going to be. I certainly like the idea of a happy ending though... with a few happy bits sprinkled in between the start and end too!

Thanks Han &GS. I don't want any sort of ending
Looks like he may have lost his haemophobia, so staying will have to be by choice;)

Yes, I was just thinking that we haven't heard any mention of his 'blood thing' coming up in any of the story lines so far, but MC's always said that is part of the basic premise of the show hasn't he? And if he still thinks he's going back to being a surgeon, then he must believe that he's cured.

It was certainly one aspect of the premise in that itwas his reason for being in PW in the first place, but now he has Louisa as a reason being there but his social skills (lack of) are the more important one IMO
Awhile back there was a post #2949 by Han96 for the German version of DM. Although it was a short peek, I got the impression it was much more than a German version. The opening music is DM music, the scanning of the fishing village from left to right--same-ie, but a different village. The scene where the mother brings in her son because of a stomach virus (S1E3), although they did expand the scene with the mother plopping a large jar on doc's desk with what I surmise was a "sample" and she saying, I guess, that I don't need the jar back!! Also, the scene where a man complains of large breast tissue (S1E1). Is this acceptable to BP? They not only have the DM opening segment but picked the brains of the BP writers for the scenes. I honestly find this out of order. Does anyone know if BP benefits monetarily from this?

Didn't M C say that the German version used their scripts and their music? If so, I'm sure that they will have been well paid!
Thks Hans & GS this sounds really promising, I am sure he won't have a problem with ITV surely with the previous audience numbers!
Wouldn't it be funny LG if Hubby went to the pub and they had on the Doc, pay back time methinks!!!
Who would like to go to his 50th, what a hell of a bash that's going to be all the animals better have ear plugs in cos it will be rocking..... Any idea for a pressie..

Usually I'd be telling him he needn't bother thinking he's going out to the pub to watch a match but tomorrow I'll be actively encouraging it :D:D:D
Can't find it, SunAnglais. Can you say more?
Aaah right...Thanks SR!:D

Thanks Han and GS. I say, thanks also to that elderly man in the Tesco at Yeovil -- clearly made an impression on MC!
You know, I don't think he would really be dropping broad hints about a surprise bummer ending, so all in all, feeling encouraged.
And it does seem like they are leaning toward a season 6....

I think he meant a happy ending to series 5. I certainly don't want it to end for good either. We NEED a series 6.
