Will Steve Bruce Survive At Sunderland ?
Will steve bruce survive at sunderland ?/ hes had millions to spend in 2 seasons at the club and the club is still no better then when he joined, his tactical awareness on the field is suspect as is his handling of players like gyan and jones !is it time for the club to look for another manager ? nial quinn the chairman and the guy who brought him to the club has stepped down ! surely a defeat to his former bottom club Wigan this weekend will be too much for the long suffering fans to bear !

Awful manager who really shouldn't be at a Premiership club.
but would Martin O'Neill want to go to Sunderland, seriously be carefull what you wish for you might just get it, not all sackings take the team forward
If the money was right, I'm sure he'd go.
The fact that Arsene Wenger has come in for about 100 x the slagging Steve Bruce ever has, says it all about the pathetic standards of some of our tabloid sports press, the ignorance of some of the dimwit media pundits we're inflicted with in this country and the sheep who hang onto their every word.
but if you're honest wouldn't you say that finishing around 10th is the best that a club like Sunderland, is the best you can realisticaly hope for reguardles of who the manager is. I'm not defending Bruce, and don't think he'll ever be much more than a mid to bottom half of the table manager but at the moment as long as he's keeping you in the premiership the powers that be at Sunderland will; be happy with him.
I'm a Utd fan so have an obvious soft-spot for Bruce, but I agree with your post.
He doesn't seem to have much tactical awareness or knowledge, and also appears to have problems motivating the squad. Plus he has zero loyalty to the clubs he manages.
The way they were playing I thought he would be booted by Halloween, but he has steadied things a little. They'll be safe, but finish nowhere near the European places.
And guess what? Both we're out of Bruce's hands.
That's not really true though, even when we had them the team went through 2 of Bruce's trademark long winless spells. Losing players is something that most teams have to deal with, but if he had built an otherwise solid, stable squad it would have been much easier to replace them. Instead, he buys 10 new players every year with seemingly no idea how he is going to fit them all into the team. He has absolutely no identifiable strategy either on the pitch or in the transfer market and that is what is frustrating, we are just completely directionless under him.
Please tell me what relevance the colour of his skin has. Would love to know.
True and look where Sunderland was when Roy Keane took them up! That 1st Season was a bad struggle for them I recall. So progress "of sorts" has been made i'd say.
Why does everyone always suggest Martin O'Neill?
...because he's the best 'out of work' manager? Brilliant at Leicester, Celtic and Villa.
Possibly O' Neil would do a good job at Sunderland yeah.
Though i'm a bit either way and 50/50 how he would do there mind
Players like O'Shea win you titles, solid, and can do a job in a variety of positions. Brown has struggled with injuries, and would be a much better player without them.
This is coming from a Liverpool fan..
Because he's a good manager and is currently without a management job.
Brilliant at Villa? Was he?
