I have no idea about whether they can be played on a phone, but I've never had any problems as long as you don't agree to download anything. Most of the videos should just work automatically
Just use Newsgroups, the episodes are uploaded within a hour or so of being aired in very high quality, dolby digital, the works . You can then download and view at your leisure. Sky can so go take a long walk off a short pier! If you don't know how to use Newsgroups, check out google for NNTP, which will explain what it is all about.
You will then want to use a newsgroup search facility to find the postings, again use Google search for "newsgroup search" and all will be revealed. You can then search for "glee" et voila
