Erect - I measured it with a steel ruler (carefully) when I was 18 or so, because I was so paranoid that it was too small and was thinking about going to the doctor.

Mine isn't anything special length wise but it does the trick. Luckily it has a fair bit of thickness to it though which comes in handy. Being a 6 and a half incher is not much cop if it's only an inch thick but if it is 5 or 6 inches thick then it's enough to satisfy unless your shagging a bucket.
Next time i've got it out i'm going to get the ruler out and see exactly what it measures up as.
