You could be right. I think Lou/Chez will team up with Craig/Stuart and Donna/Claire.

    Pfft.

I'm being wined and dined. Plus I dont have a puffin beak :o

I bet and I do admit to being clairvoyant, when you woke up this morning you never expected to be posting that you don't have a Puffin beak.

Tits, penalty and goal to the bloody farmers.

You can come round for dinner if you wish but don't tell Sandra. Dress code is Puffin beaks and hair.:)

What time shall I be there?

Dining will be 6:30 prompt. The obligatory entertainment that one must have nowadays is an 80 piece marching band at 8. You will be expected to play at least one instrument and dance like a whirling dervish.

Sandra, you need a forth couple to block the opposition. I can't see anyone from that group joining them, unless Leah and Ollie do. The new arrivals that follow won't stand a chance.

I think the word common should be taken in it's broadest sense, in that the represent the typical and not the atypical.
In other words they are ten a penny types.
I have to say I have some sympathy for J&E, as a walk down most high streets today tend to show most people looking similar in size, tattoss, clothes and hairdos.
Myself and partner have noticed that a lot of people have allowed themselves to become larger than they ought to be, while choosing to keep this excess flesh on display-usually adorned with tattoos. They are to be found eating a wide range of junk food, while disposing of the wrappers anywhere but in the bin,
They have screaming children by their side usually sporting some treated hair or inappropriate haircut, piercings, branded or designer clothing the cost of which empty the fullets of wallets/purses and an attitude which is deserving of a slap in the face.
Aspirations seem to revolve around getting p*ssed, laid. p*ssed and laid, trying every kebab on the menu and generally starting a row or altercation in the most public of places and in the most undignified of ways.
While I do not know if Donna and her friend fall into this category , I have to say the type of person I have described is common,in that they are very evident in our society. For that matter, by the way, they are also very evident on Coach Trip :(
While I don't doubt that J&E have prejudged the new passengers. I do have some sympathy for the reasons why they might have. After all didn't everyone prejudge them initially

I will now stand by for the mauling to come.:D

Oh good. Someone else with a sensible view about these people. I can never see the reason why people voluntary get their bodies defaced like that AND want to make sure everyone can see it. They should cover it up. Its revolting. The same with the 2 homosexual blokes. They just look a state. It cant be just us as that woman on the Military Wives choir also got disliked for her chavvy tattoos.

As soon as I saw those 2 women in the previous CT trailers I had already decided I didnt like them. For some strange reason this skin defacing seems to be the accepted norm now.

You're right. In that case, perhaps Swampy Jack joins in with them.

Oh I dont know! My head is bursting thinking about it

Erm thats a misquote as I dont think Tam did say that btw

You're right - I misremembered. It was Jayson who said that. Tam was pretty reasonable.

The point though is that originals or those who've been on a long time sometimes behave as if they are entitled to stay on.

The reason that this season has been so good is that it is so unpredictable. The googly thrown at J&E came out of nowhere yesterday. Another one might be waiiting Monday.

They know torturing J&E is good television.

If Nigel and daughter do something the group doesnt like on Monday they could be up as well. Or Ladis tantrum could alienate the group.

The quicker the turnover the better I like it.

I dont think the crew will throw another curve ball just to save J&E. That would be too obvious.

And you're right....this has been one of the most unpredictable series for a long time and we're only halfway through!

Must say, am really enjoying this series.

ummm..I tend to think Tam and Paul were the brains behind the 'young alliance'

Not so much Jayson. He was more interesting in nicking sausages each morning.

    Nice turn of events :p
J & E were so sure their rudeness would get them a red card. Funny how they decided they had had enough after they got their first yellow card.
Happens a lot, when coachies can't stand the idea of being voted off in the normal way, they hope to save face by making out that they threw in the towel.

I don't agree about J and E acting up to get the red card, because they received the yellow the day before. It was pretty clear J and E decided to throw the towel in when the newbies arrived on the scene, and this was a time when they still had an opportunity to avoid getting the vote.

I think Beardy and Sarah would have gone, had J and E not been so horrible towards the new people.

And as a result, there's no turning back. The lads sudden change of heart to make no effort has surely tipped the scales in the newbies favour, along with Ladi's increasingly moody behaviour(which seems to be connected somehow), which surely means we're only a few days away from a completely different coach of people, at most a week.

I don't think Beardy will be forming an alliance with them. He just seems the type to remain on his own. I think they'll be off pretty soon, but who knows. It could be the exact opposite.

Hi Dom, you spoiling for a bit of Saturday afternoon agro?
From the OED 3. common: Showing a lack of taste or refinement, supposedly typical of the lower classes.
    description
I think E and Jollyone are using common in this sense.;)

So do i. On the other hand the Welsh ladies, while not quite falling into this description, were nowhere near the posh bracket either, and E and J seemed quite respectful and caring towards them. So while the Scouting couple were allegedly 'pointless', the Welsh ladies were not. It all makes me think it is some kind of act. I don't know which bit is the act of course:D I would point out that I doubt the Welsh ladies did a lot of skiing or golf even in their young days, it being a 'posh' thing on the whole. (Definitely not common in the broad sense of the word lol.)

And Scouting is 'aspirational', though f**ting is optional.

Also Ladi and Tori aren't posh, but J+E seem to get on fine with them, but then judge the two hairdressers and Claire and Donna.

I thought the treatment to Rosie and Rachel was horrible too (as a whole group). Bit like in series 4 (?) when Dan and Gill were only on for 2 days and got a yellow then a red the following day, when there was nothing wrong with them, they were just a bit quiet.

I would have liked to have seen Lewis on this series for longer too, he seemed like fun.

I think someone said at the start of the trip that J and E might be actors since they seemed such caricatures. They are inconsistent - if it's a game they're playing I've not worked out what it is.

    I think what J & E lack is a simple human decency.

The basic acknowledgement that not everyone is like them. Not everyone wants to be them, not everyone thinks like them. I do think that comes from a very exclusive upbringing in the wilds of Norfolk.

But you say they were alright with some coachies and not others - yes, but even the ones they liked there would have been something they didn't - the way they spoke, their job, class, district that they live in. Even the ones they tolerated they wouldn't have gone out of their way for.

Its very telling that they removed themselves from the group - even from the ones they have no problem with. Which suggests a general bad socialisation with other human beings.
