Very sweet statement from his family (from the link):

The family statement said Carson "husband, father, Gaga and comedian set off for his final gig today".

"He went peacefully at his home in Blackpool surrounded by his greatest fans - his extended family. We will be taking him home to Belfast to lay him to rest and celebrate his joyful life.

"It's quieter down here now. God help them up there!!"

That made me cry a little and chuckle at the same time. A lovely farewell.

They were both on the Comedians....I doubt there's anyone from there left now....oh maybe Dougie Brown.

    Both very funny men.

Very sorry to read of the passing of Frank Carson - a great Northern Irishman and a marvellous entertainer.

Frank's commitment to getting the UK out of the EU should also be praised.

That's perfect. Not maudliln, or reverential, but it still shows very nicely how much his family loved him. 85 is a good age.

    RIP, Frank.

Tom O'Connor,Stan Boardman,Roy Walker and Mick Miller are still around. Seems like it was just Liverpudlians and Northern Irish men on that show:D

Aw really? that sucks. I really thought he was funny and very likable.
He was one of the rare old school comedians that you don't think "hmmm... racist" for some reason, well, I don't. Tom O'Connor is another guy who is a gent I have heard from my uncle. They are underrated for their contribution to comedy.

R.I.P. Frank - it was the way he told 'em!

It was reported on LBC Radio this morning that Ken Goodwin (''Settle down, now''), also from The Comedians TV show, died within the last few days too. R.I.P. Ken.

This hasn't been updated on Wikipedia.

RIP Ken and Frank :( Two comedy legends.
