I don't have any Sky Movie channels, so are there are channels OTHER than the Movie channels ?
It is on Pro Sieben (7 Germany) - in the olden days this was free on Sky, pretty sure it is on a different transponder now. There are many ways to watch the Oscars..........
have watch it live for the last 2 years, but can't this year as I am staying with folks for the next few days
Was going to originally order Sky movies for a month just for the Oscars! But since I was visiting the folks and they have no form of Sky or Virgin or anything - I looked into live streaming it.
Bookmarked a page the other day - and just checked it out now - clicked on the "watch now" option and it asked for my credit card details!!
anyone know any free internet streaming? Couldn't find it on E!
I think Sky are out of order for not showing this live on a non premium channel and they probably miss a trick too as if they did show it, it would probably only increase interest in films generally and get more people subscribing to their film channels and or box office.
I used to work in cinema and the day(s) after the Oscars had been shown, if those films where still out there was always significant extra custom and it was so obvious that it was off the back of the Oscars ceremony and the massive media coverridge it got. This is in the years that BBC often got to show it too etc.
I had no idea the Oscars were tonight until I saw Stacy Kiebler was trending on twitter and looked why. I really don't think they are that big of a deal anymore.
Skys "red carpet " coverage appears to consist mostly of critics in the studio, along with the odd edited red carpet interview. If it wasn't for twitter I'd have no idea what Sacha baron cohen got up to.. (at a party and only sky coverage available, missing e! and Seacrest)

hopefully it won't go down like the golden globes.
have you got a link for it?
If you want to know what's happening, as it's happening but can't watch the show (or would like commentary to go with it) then I'm going to be live-blogging the whole she-bang on The Clapper Bored! Just keep this window open as a tab and it'll update itself with everything that's going on over in LA!
Can't wait
