I've just finished Jasper Fforde's "First Among Sequels", the 5th Thursday Next series. It was as good as always and had me chuckling regularly.

Going to read one of my daughter's (age 9) books now as she is reading the series and likes to have someone to talk to about them, Chris D'Lacey's Fire Star, the first 2 in the series were quite enjoyable so I'm hoping that he is keeping to standard.

Yes, it means VERY varied! I'm not criticising I love the fact that other people read 'classics', teen fiction and modern classics.Makes me feel better about my reading choices

variety is the spice of life!! :)
Although I really do just read the classics to look clever:p

I'm currently in the middle of 'Inspector Ghote Hunts the Peacock' by HRF Keating (my first Inspector Ghote novel - it's OK, but I won't bother with the whole series), and also 'Silent Partner' by Jonathan Kellerman, which I'm enjoying so far.

I usually like a non-fiction on the go too, but I haven't got anything on my non-fic list at the moment.

Just started re-reading City of Shadows by Ariana Franklin.

Need a break from Robin Hobb as I have just finished the Tawny Man Trilogy which was fantastic.

Currently reading 'The Passage' by Justin Cronin. Only at about 20% but enjoying it so far, but expecting it to all go Pete Tong soon, if the reviews on Amazon are anything to go by! :D

I'm reading The Bonesetters Daughter by Amy Tan. Same author of the book and movie of the same name 'The Joy Luck Club'. Here's a link about it.

I loved this book too. I don't think I have ever cried so much at an ending of a book.

I started and finished this today! An amazing book that had me in floods of tears at the end......just thinking about it sets me off again. A book I'll never forget,

Finished D H Lawrence's "The Rainbow" .. excellent in parts, turgid in others .. I've seen him described as Thomas Hardy-lite - harsh but not far from the truth.

I finished The Tales of Beedle The Bard by J.K. Rowling. Among the five stories, I like The Warlock's Hairy Heart the most.
