Talking of great music, I loved this clip as a kid mostly for the great score... looking back on it now the special effects look well ropey and Lazenby playing Bond is far from ideal... but it still rocks!
In American Psycho, when Christian Bale's character has brought his drunk friend back to his apartment, puts him on the sofa, drunk but conscious, and laughs and banters with him as he puts Hip To Be Square on his record player, and starts larking about-then puts a plastic sheet on the floor, puts on a long white coat, gets an axe out of a cupboard, and suddenly the convivial good-humour of the scene evaporates, as we realise what is about to happen....
The final duel in For A Few Dollars More has to be one of the greatest sequences put to film. The background story of why the two men are standing there, the music, even right upto the cocky move at the end. The whole movie has to be seen but here's the ending. Enjoy

I like the scene from Rosemary's baby when Minnie and Roman first arrive, walking down the street. There are beautiful colours and it looks a bit odd when they get closer and closer, like a cartoon. - I can't find a clip sorry.
Rosemary's Baby is my 'comfort blanket' film for bad weather afternoons. I've watched it so many times I virtually know the script.
Apparently at the same time one of the executions was being filmed for that scene, the Mafia boss Joe Columbo was shot 3 times at a rally. The movie production team had been dealing with him.

Oh that does make me wince with the memory. Old Mo Green should have let Johnny Fontaine have his part in the movies.
That was Woltz. He got his comeuppance wih the horse head in the bed.
Moe Green refused to sell them his shares in the casinos.
Yes of course it was indeed Jack Woltz that refused Johnny Fontaine. If you remember Jack Woltz had an unhealthy intetrest in young girls.

Odd choice for a comfort movie!
