What are people expecting?
I saw an ad just now and i pressume people send in their recipes for tim and simon to try, but will it have any elements of SFTW?

What SFTW only really had going for it was this sense of looking into another dimension.

A "Bondian universe" featuring cocktails (shaken, not stirred) glamorous female Q gadget handlers. The smooth Felix Leiter in Simon, Louise as a femme fatale (really fatale) and Tim is Bond as played by Rowan Atkinson.

The commercials will surely ruin that, I can't imagine I will watch. And I suppose no cocktails either.

SFTW was a superb parody of a male-centred magazine show. It will never be matched.

I'll definitely give it a go - there's bugger all else on that I want to see. As long as it retains it's gentle air of impending meltdown I'll be perfectly happy!

Hadn't realised it was starting so soon - no wonder Simon and Tim didn't bother much with "goodbye" yesterday!

I missed the start as I'd switched over to BBC2 out of habit!

Like the breakfast table - wonder if they'll review the papers (or maybe they are just there for show)

Don't like the kitchen background. It's too 'loud' for a Sunday morning.

I agree, I already have a headache so it's not helping.

I'd rather have Hollyoaks and TBBT

when Tim found the non-slatted spatula, why did Simon not just use it?

Want to see the Pirates, BTW

    Hovercam during an interview, stylish!

    No, wait. It's terrible.

Why have they changed the online editing style, quick cuts on a sunday? Garrish set? A commercial every 15 minutes?

No fat bloke mixing cocktails?. No gadget girl you could carry around with you in a backpack if required?

This show is already looking like more Jay Hunt female friendly lifestylee daytimee. Missing the point CH4! Where's the charm.

    I'm out, oh well.

Liking it so far, but not sure about the playlist thing, not sure what the point of it is. It could be varied between music and ch4 tv programmes.

It seems a bit flat for some reason. Maybe it needs Lou? No, what am I saying?!!!!!:eek:

I think it does need a female presenter though, Amanda would be my choice.

Tim Lovejoy appears about 20% more enthusiastic than on his BBC2 gig, never really liked the cookery guy and he seems a bit of a loose end in this when hes not cooking.

SFTW without Louise Redknap. Got to be an improvement.

Agree with what's been said about the set; far too busy and bright.

The rent-a-crowd studio crew were a little subdued in the first part which made it all come across as a bit eggy. I see they've revved up a bit now which has given it more of an SFTW feel about it.

Don't get the whole guests not cooking bit, which then makes the interviewing segment surplus to requirements. Zac looked perplexed at having to sit down with them and talk about his play again! Although having said that I see that there is now some chopping action with Stacey.

Sitting down to chat about the wine and then with the daft 'trends' expert was feeble.

Puzzled by the guests having to pick music tracks. However.....Dance like Jagger: CHOON.

I really hope it beds in and somehow improves as it goes on, as the only redeeming feature at the moment is the fact that there's no Louise.

Only thing bugging me is moving from one thing to another, the guests are just abandoned, as with Stacey cooking, they just bogged off and left her to taste some cyder (with a 'y'). Thank them before moving on, 'Thanks Stacey, more from you later' or something like that.
