Ha! Cheers Turbo. Matt was a delight to interview.
I bet he was *slightly envious*
Have you been to see him on tour yet, or are you planning to? pretty sure I saw the Devil weeping tears of joy a couple of rows back at the Cambridge show - no joke
thank you, John - I think I love you just a little bit
I think I love him more than a little bit
Loved the interview; loved the pictures - and there was a Julian Clary interview in the mag too - who I adore - best mag I've read in ages!!
was at the gig at Manchester last night and there were quite a few guys and girls with the pictures trying to get him to sign them for him - and he didn't bat an eyelid
Because it was part of an interview about sex and what he likes. Why did he point out he has a girlfriend? Why did he point out how his life has changed since he won? Why does he point out he clippers his chest?
because it's an INTERVIEW and celebrities answer questions asked to them in INTERVIEWS.
You need to watch your blood pressure and calm down.
Just wanted to say this is the first time I've ever bought GT. I bought it solely because of the Matt interview but enjoyed reading many of the articles. I thought the pictures were all lovely and very tasteful, although I preferred the inside ones to the cover shot. The oblique head and shoulder one was stunning. Wanted to thank John for the interview (and the snippets of inside information). In many ways there was little that was new information(I don't think we knew what the tattoo said before) but it confirmed various stories/information in the public domain. A job well done John. You must have put him at ease.
Actually when you browse the gallery of recent Gay Times covers (under Digital Back issues) Cardle is keeping just the company one would expect of one who insists "I consider myself an artist" whilst releasing and performing cover songs from his appearances on reality TV.

No offence to Jedward though...
Um, apart from First Time Ever I saw Your Face (which he's only doing because poeple kept asking for it) and his XF single obviously, Matt has only released original material, which he wrote himself all but one.

LOL, what are you on about? He's released several XF performances including 'Come Together.' He didn't write Many of Horror. He didn't write Run For Your Life.
And by all accounts of his tour it's First TIme that the adoring mums and grans of his fan base go wildest for.
It's called giving the people what they want. Just like stripping off and talking suggestively to interviewers.

The XF performances you refer to are a special edition of the album that every winner releases - they aren't on the main album and he has never performed them live since he moved on from XF. Many of Horror was the XF winner's single which he was contractually obliged to release.
The only song (and it's the worst on the album by a mile) that he didn't write was RFYL - and whilst he has always been very kind about it - I think it's pretty clear it wasn't his choice to put it out
And as for FT - yes it goes down well live cos he doesn't such a fantastic job with it. I've been to three dates on the tour and personally much prefer his own stuff (never been a fan of the song myself)
But then why let the truth get in the way of your dislike - though there are many real criticisms you can throw at him without making stuff up:rolleyes:

the only things I can find in common among those appearing on the cover (and I think you meant to post this link - http://gb.zinio.com/browse/publications/single-issues.jsp?productId=265879781&rf=millivres&pss=1) is a) they're male (except for Lily Allen) and b) they're attractive to a significant portion of the population (I don't get the attraction to Jedward, Olly or Alex Reid, but then there's no accounting for taste)

the fact that you single out someone saying that your criticism doesn't apply to them shows the bias in your opinion and that you're basing your criticism more on your dislike of Matt rather than anything else

Is that meant to mean something? It seems a very random and out of context comment.
Just like gonorrhea...
TBF Shayne always looked good - proper pop star package.
i wouldn't disagree with that at all. i have always thought he is the best male x factor winner in all aspects.
