It's okay, but best to stick out. I felt that way about my sister's last boyfriend. I really thought they were going to get married. They then brokeup and when I told her I didn't think he treated her well and didn't like him for her, she was like "why didn't you tell me!?" But if I had she would have dug her heels in or gotten mad at me.
