There's a new video for Capital Cities "Safe And Sound" - which ironically includes the Capital Cities boys escaping from Belgian attack dogs! I wonder if they're going international with it? Gotye has been huge EVERYWHERE and this is the one that beat it in the contest...

I think I prefer the old video, it had a certain charm to it. Would be interesting though if they take off too, we've discovered a few great artists over the contests, and we've discovered Jamala as well...
I prefer the old video too definitely! I think it went with the song better.
I just find it quite funny how they're specifically BELGIAN dogs hehe
Maybe someone told them the result of Llanfair, although not sure how that explains why the new video also includes, to use their words, 'benevolent llamas' (is there any other kind of llama?)
Frightening how good that contest was when I couldn't even give Safe And Sound a point in the final, listening back to it, it's still such a good song. And to think I wasted my 12 on Gotye at the time...
Haha! The Capital Cities song is awesome and I love it as a winner but I do think it's a shame Gotye didn't win from a non-biased P.O.V. considering how huge it's been. We need Capital Cities to at least be a hit somewhere to justify it!

I notice the presence of a Swedish director for this Capital Cities video, it always comes back to Sweden eventually, Pin Up Girl was written by a Swede too...
I very nearly entered that Duffy song when I had Wales, judging by the reaction I made the right decision. Also, I wish someone'd entered that Connor Maynard song; obsessed doesn't even cover it.
The same rules apply as in the first Semi Final. Votes in the usual Eurovision format (12,10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1) and if you fail to submit any votes on behalf of your country, your song will be disqualified from the contest. Again, you can change your votes as many times as you want up until the deadline which is 9pm on Wednesday 18th April.
Just to keep everyone in the loop, in the semi finals there will be a wildcard jury. But all the votes received from these people will be collated at the end of voting and an extra 12 pts - 1 pt will be handed out between the countries.
Once we get to the final, the votes from people will then count individually

The fact this didn't come top 10 shows how amazing Malmo was. This could have won any of the contests since!
Yes
I still can't believe you chose that as a serious entry, she's a comedy legend!
This is the 2012 version of Jamala - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHXLPyQxksM
Incidentally it was Kvn who stopped this from winning its national final
Skip to about 1:35, the dancers who are being paid to be in this video make me wet myself!!
At least it gave people something to laugh about, poor Jamala!

Good luck!
I actually like it, it's a bit shrill but still catchy. I don't get the reaction personally
SEMI FINAL 1
1. Montenegro – It has a catchy beat, I want to dance. I like this one. 8/10
2. Armenia – nice song, up lifting chorus. I like this one. 8/10
3. Greece – I like the club beat, it doesn’t quite go anywhere for me. 7/10
4. Bulgaria – English lyrics help this, it’s different but something missing. 6/10
5. Georgia – Not a fan of this, didn’t like the chorus. Bit ‘meh’. 4/10
6. Turkey – Not getting this. Gets annoying towards the end. Heard better. 3/10
7. Latvia – for the first minute I like it, but it didn’t go anywhere in the end. 7/10
8. Faroe Islands – I like the chorus and beat of this one. Different to others. 8/10
9. Norway – I really like this. Catchy, like 2 songs in one! 9/10
10. Czech Republic – a nice break from all the up tempo songs, but slightly bland for me. 7/10
11. Belarus – nice intro, I like it, but im not blown away by it. 7/10
12. Finland – again a nice intro, fairly catchy but a bit generic sounding. 7/10
13. Monaco – I like this, builds nicely and nice voice…very catchy… 9/10
14. Slovenia – sounds like the cranberrys. I like it, very pleasant! 8/10
15. Russia – sounds a bit dated to me, the intro is a bit Steps sounding…5/10
16. Iceland – This had punch…until the chorus, disappointing. 6/10
17. Luxembourg – Pop/rock going well here. Powerful. I like. 8/10
18. Sweden – I like it, quirky. But not blown away by it. So 7/10
19. Italy – Just love this song and artist. Winner! 10/10
20. Ukraine – This is soo camp! “Inwinsible” is such an annoying pronunciation. One listen is more than enough. 1/10
21. Romania – Another female singer, this one is nice…just nice though. ‘R n b’ sounding makes it… 7/10
22. Serbia – Love the violins and general song. Really strong, possible winner!! 9.5/10
23. Portugal – I think this is ok, but it isn’t up there. Nice beat to it…7/10
24. Estonia – Quirky and just a bit weird really…not easy listening! 4/10
25. Azerbaijan – the only ballad makes this stand out. Its really a beautiful song actually. Nice to have a male singer too! 8/10
26. Wales – Poor end to a really strong semi final….screeching cats anyone? 0.5/10
