I have intergrated more since I registered on DS,four years ago so to speak and has found it very very rewarding .Otherwise I lived in my Ugandan bubble.I do mix proffessionally alot but not socially,it is not very straight forward. My daughter was born here and has a white boyfriend but overall she is even holding on more to the Ugandan roots. She is lucky in that she has a very flexible personality, she can fit anywhere.Take her in a Ugandan village, she will fit or make her a celeb she will fit.
BIB - that's interesting, and great that being on DS has proven such a positive experience for so many It certainly has changed my life
My ex-husband used to call me The Manager, cause I know enough about footie to know when it's being played badly I remember being off work during the World Cup some time in the 90's and spending my days and nights watching the footie in the pub, had a blast (from what I recall )
Growing up with brothers you get to know a bit, like it or not lol

Well done you #LFC peeps, I'm happy for you! *paintedsmilie*:)
But sad to see the departure of Deefs from DS, having been worn down by the bitching against FMs.
I'll miss her level-headed/sensible commentary, constructive posts . . . . and even her disapproval of my non-PC fun!
If you lurk Deefs, never say never . . . remember OBH will be back one day!
In the meantime, JJAT salutes you . . . and I'll see you on the darkside!

Last time I watched British footie all I saw was players passing to the opposition, was too frustrating to carry on watching
Used to go to the Estadio Azteca a lot in Mexico .. I usually support Mexico in the World Cup.
