Can't see any DB logos. I'd say it is central/eastern European (or Iberian), but I can't identify any train styles. It's not not SNCF, it's not DB, it's not TrenItalia....Poland, maybe?
311 steps has been imprinted on my brain for 40 yrs.
We were kids in the 70s. They often let us in free.
Must have been up a dozen or twenty times.
I'm pretty sure i went up there as well when I arrived in london as a student in the 70s...........'going up places' was a bit of a pastime..........Monument, Post Office Tower, St Pauls..........I expect they're all closed to the public now...........
Hi lemoncurd, well done, it is Zurich........the photo was taken in March and was taken on a train heading for the airport..you can see a reflection in the window...
The train pulled out of the station, crossed over a bit then climbed until it passed over all the tracks you see in the photo...

I used that bridge every day when I was about 7 and 8.
Bit different now. I remember the kerfuffle at the time.
showing your age now:D:D
No NatWest. No Gherkin. No Shard.
Just the gorgeous Monument (311 Steps). Belfast arrived about the same time. We used to sneak on before it was officially open.
Did you ever climb it? (The monument not tne shard):D

Also my best friend's Dad was a Beefeater. They lived in a flat in the walls (Tower of London).
I just used to roll up at any of the gates and say I wanted to see my friend.
Great place to grow up is the City of London. (not London). St Pauls too. we just used to wander all over.
