aha yea, did anyone analyse like this last year?

    and did anyone pick azerbaijan

Wasn't it only people like Mikay and Saturn who predicted Azer to win last year?

The only person I remember picking Azerbaijan as a potential winner last year was Edward from Jedward, because it had a real High School Musical feel he said. He's the only person I know who can remember how it goes!

Keith Mills top 3 Serbia :) Ireland  Malta

And why the rolleyes smiley. They are as good as any of them, from what I have heard.
I heard the Romanian and Swedish entry Loreen Moss messed up or changed the lyrics, I know Russia were crap because they are actually crap and cant get worse. If it was not a bunch of cute old ladies singing it, it would not have made the final# novelty act. They should have had a cute dog on stage with them to clinch it.
What was the awful Albanian entry like, screech heaven I bet.

As for the hump I am looking forward to seeing the youtube video. The guy can sing and the song is ok.
I hope none of the laments win, awful.

To be really honest with you...I don't think this contest has credibility at all - just like last year, the Azeri singers couldn't sing live and still won landslide.

I take this show as an entertainment and not to take the result too seriously

They didn't win by a landslide at all

i hope its a real close contest, last year was good because it wasn't until the last 2 countries that we knew the Azeri's had taken it, but I would love a 1998 end or even a tie and a count back.

The chances of such a thing happening with so many countries voting in the final and so many points up for grabs is unfortunately tiny,

Emin is famous in the UK? Oh yes, of course!

Didn't they reveal in the Panorama programme that he was the President's son in law or something like that?

Yes - I did! (but only after watching the Jury Final)

I withdrew that word, but my statement still stood - coming 2nd in Jury and 1st in televotes were absolutely absurd. That song winning didn't give this contest credibility at all.

I didn't see it but that's what wiki says. Oh, also - one of his songs was added to Radio 2's A List in April 2012, so he's had a long career here! :p

If people think Jedward fans get a rough ride on here you should have tried being an Azerbaijan fan last year!

I thought I was gonna be lynched after the final :D

But but but - I'll defend the Azeri's choice of Emin as an interval act here, he's a musical export of theirs who has had moderate success ... regardless of who's son in law he is

Remember how bad the interval act was in Dusseldorf? I'm expecting this one to be better!

kvn - I remember you being a bit of a lone voice on here last year!

Speaking of interval act.... I really hope there will be one GOOD interval act like Norway 2010. The mob dance was a BLAST

Will they be going to the actual spokespeople or just stand ins?

If it's anything like last year it'll be a bit of both.

2010 showed you don't have to spend massive money to have a good show, with a bit of creativity.

I had Azerbaijan in my top ten but I never expected them to win!

It was mostly about Nikki for me.

Didn't Graham Norton cite it as one of his favourites from prior listening during his commentary last year?

I could, of course, be making this up!

As the BBC pick poor vocalists. One reason why I fail to understand fans want Pixie Lott with a dance number (another disaster)

I saw her at Manchester Pride last year, and her vocals were spot on. As with many artists, it depends on the day (Or with Lee Ryan, doesn't matter on the day)

She was brilliant. The look of sheer horror on her face everytime Ell touched her was so romantic :D

Ooh, we have another Suffolker! NightFox Dancer also hails from there, but she can frequently be seen in Chapelfield Norwich too ;)

Our DS Eastern Bloc is growing by the day :D
