Has anyone sighted (or media outlet interviewed) Linford Christie during London 2012? Or has the man who won the 100 metres gold medal for us in the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 been airbrushed out of British Olympic history?
Personally I haven't seen or heard anything from him, which is why I'm asking as he is one of the greats of British track and field athletics.

What is the obsession in these threads about being 'Airbrushed Out of History", Clips of Christie, Gunnell, Daley and other Olympic Heroes from our past have been shown many times over the past few weeks.
Has Daley Thompson, Tessa Sanderson or Fatima Whitbread been spotted?
Akabusi was on the BBC show other night (he still has that roaring laugh)
Daley Thompson is on BBC1 right now. Fatima Whitbread has been on The Wright Stuff on Five every morning this week.
I suppose it's about them not been seen in front of the Cameras.
The public haven't forgotten them and I suppose it feels a little off not to see their faces, like we've forgotten them and what they've done.
Daley Thompson is currently on Olympics Tonight.
He turned up on the One show after been off our screens for years.
He's been missed, when's that repeated, watching the Boxing highlights.
That's not quite what I was after, but, again they seem to have been ignored for yonks when it comes to sports 'head on a stick' work.
Apparently he carries his Olympic medal everywhere, like putting it in kids hands to see them go bandy
I think in some cases, it's just that the face doesn't fit. Certain athletes have always sucked up to the media, while others have been more independent. Guess which ones get the media work.
Oh yes, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if it wasn't about personalities, plus some take more of an interest in honing their TV skills I guess.
Apparently Daley fell out with the Athletic authorities.
Being a drugs cheat tends to erase you from history. I doubt Ben Johnson gets much work on Canadian tv.
There were a lot of dodgy Nandrolone positives around that time. I believe Linford's was one of them. He had nothing to gain by doping, as he'd only come of of retirement for one indoor event, to make a point to the athletes that he coached at the time.
I very much doubt a sprinter would take nandralone, its not the best drug for power and has an 18 month detection time. It wouldn't make much sense.
I'd like to see more of Linford Christie but isn't he an agent now or something?
I'm not sure the strict liability rule is fair in these cases. If a supplement maker who's been supplying bonfide supplements to athletes for years screws up its processes in some way and adds a load of banned substances to them, is it the athletes' fault?
The nandrolone affair tarnished so many athletes' reputations.
