But mona, friends they can be for sure. But if Shirley has any objection then out of respect for her Phil should not be her friend.
i think if shirley was around them together then she would realize there is no need to worry but then it'l be contrived that all shirley sees is that he was talking to sharon and she thinks its more

No matter if Shirley's rational mind is telling her they are just friends and no more, her heart will always feel uneasy. It would not be contrived, it would be perfectly natural.
Well of course. That is your opinion. But you can see it in his eyes. He wants her. Thank god Shirley is being killed off soon.
he might fancy her but he doesnt love her. that line proved he is over her. he was angry with her when she chose grant over him but he is happy now if sharon wants to be with grant. he would never say that if he loved her
Well he is hardly going to say what he feels straight away. But I know there's no point in trying to reason with you. He wants her bad and Shirley was nowt but a grizzled distraction.

they are just friends. he was talking about shirley a LOT infront of sharon he wanted to get home
he didnt have to say that line about grant. theres no way he would say it was okay if sharon wanted to be with grant if he wanted her.

and no she isnt!
How does it PROVE anything? It doesn't prove a thing. You've interpreted it in a way that suits your agenda, but it's not conclusive proof of anything. At all.

why did he say that about grant then? why are they acting like theyre old friends? "you trying to fob me off" "I aint fobing you off!" its old friends talk. no romantic feelings at all.
so why did he say it????????? there is no other explanation!!
What are you on? There is no other possible explanation for Phil asking if she's sure Grant being in Portugal is 'good' than to prove he no longer loves her?
Once again, your bizarre, contrived logic thoroughly evades me.

so why did he ask her if she was sure about it being good? he would never say that if he still loved her. its just not something he would say. he wouldnt have said anything. he knows that sharon loved grant and maybe they could have another go at it if he was there. it was like he was giving them his blessing
Phil might get with Sharon or he might not, a line wont stop the writers from changing their minds if they think they can come up with a brilliant plotline, they have already retconned the fact that Sharon had been in touch with Ian and Phil prior to returning.

they will get together but it doesnt mean phil loves her now
i dont but i thought that was the general jist of things and the writers tell me he considers sharon a friend.
For now, like I said when the writers' think they have come up with a storyline that calls for Phil to 'love' Sharon again then that is what will happen, and if they decide to alter the meaning of what he said then they will. Soap characters' feelings are fluid just like peoples' and also they can lie just like people.

It will, of course, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
Agreed, they've been down that route before, there are more men in the world than the sunburnt egg

Sorry mona but he drags Shirley down, I much prefer her scenes without him.
Sharon and Phil can bore each other.
In my opinion of course.

What's new?

I didn't realise you write for EastEnders?
