Nexus 7. I use it for gaming, surfing and magazine type stuff like Flipboard and Google Currents. I've read books on it but my first choice for books is still the Kindle. I take it everywhere with me so I can just whip it out when I've spare time.
Samsung Galaxy 10.1, I use it mainly for surfing, but also for entertainment on the go, movies with my usb adaptor an sd card slot and football when I'm away from the tv.
Nexus 7. Use it at times for Facebook and suring the net and emails. Used it while I was in Amserdam during the week for maps and Facebook. Also used the Pure Lounge app while I was in the Hotel. I also listen to my music on it from time to time.
To be honest I'm thinking of switching to a google nexus as its more portable and I've went right off apple recently. I also prefer the Android operating system now. My dad will probably take my iPad off me.
I use it for browsing, email and watching tv, very occasionally gaming.
iPad1
Email, surfing, reference apps (calculator, conversions, weather, travel, IMDB, news etc), maps, games, reading PDFs, youtube, the odd ripped TV series DVD here and there. Wouldn't be without it. It's brilliant.
Just got an iPad and am just loving the speed of access to the web and to emails. Checks train times virtually instantly, for example, and remembers my location, so searches are quicker and easier.
Will also use it to take and display photos.
It's an unnecessary gadget, of course, but a very enjoyable one
iPad 2
Reading books, magazines, newspapers.
Web surfing, watching tv, movies etc in bed
You tube, Facebook, games.
Emails and occasional work documents.
iPad:
Internet browsing, social networking, simple emails, news, games, music and video. I recently bought an Apple TV and use the iPad as a remote for music and video on a big screen with proper speakers.
I use it for web browsing, YouTube, email, occasional gaming, Netflix, writing (using Google drive makes this incredibly simple for stopping and starting on different devices) and social networking.
It does all of those things wonderfully, hence my continued enjoyment from the tablet.
Two Asus Transformer TF101, both with Keyboard dock.
Mine used for e-mail surfing and social media
my wife's surfing and playing solitaire
Fantastic quality
iPad 2 use it for mostly everything if I cant be bothered to open up the laptop.Loads of footbal apps giving me notificaions etc, miles of apps, graphic fun etc,Satnav,Xbox media center(XBMC),Sky Go,Slingbox,Twitter,Facebook,Digital Spy etc,Jailbreaking, hacking etc.Had it for I spose 2 years now after ugrading from the iPad 1.Could not be without it.....Also have a Motorola xoom, which Ive just hacked to make it "American" so I was able to get the latest sotware Jellybean on it,but rarely use it cos of the iPad...
I use it for surfing, the odd game or puzzle, watching videos, listening to the radio, listening to audio books, listening to music, reading via the kindle app, receiving and sending emails, social media, work related stuff such as invoicing and printing via cloud print, storing technical pdf's for work including wiring diagrams etc. For downloading torrents via synodroid when I'm out and about.
Probably some other stuff that doesn't come to mind.
P.S. I used to do this mainly on my S3 because that was just as capable, but the larger screen makes it easier on the Nexus.
I don't have an iPad but my dad has. He tends to use his 2 laptops more, but when he uses the iPad he uses it for reading PDFs, the odd game and web browsing. Mum borrows it a lot for games and web browsing.
Samsung galaxy tab 10.1. Mainly use it for surfing, reading and gaming. Secondary use is to read RSS feeds, email (mainly do this on my phone). Misses uses it mainly for youtube, skype and surfing.
New iPad and I use it for surfing, occasional game, watching movies and shows (via Netflix), access my work email when I am out and about and also my own personal email.
