Multiplayer could be very interesting.
You can try it here....kinda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ3B7XPpPmI
Speedloafter, rose tinted glasses? You'll have to give me an example of a bad remake to go from.
Off the top of my head, Bubble Bobble, Bomberman, Rainbow islands, Wrestlefest, Bionic Commando, Double Dragon, thats what I have played and been dissappointed in. I cant actually think of any remake (not including HD remakes) that are actually decent. They always alter the gameplay and in turn destroy the game. And to me X-com to this day is probably in my top 10 games of all time. I have no faith in remakes.
it looks excellent. I don't mind change as long as it works. they have left the atmosphere in tact and there is still bags of strategy from what I can tell from previews and demo plays. i'm starting to get quite excited for it! i'm hoping it gets some proper and thorough reviews when it gets released.
If i wanted to play the original i'd play the original.

Fully concur. Firaxis seem to have an affectionate feel for the spirit of this legendary title.
The original Enemy Unknown released in 1994, remains the finest game I have ever played. A title I still regularly fire up on both PC and more recently on the Android Nexus 7 via the DOSBox Turbo App. The latter version being touch screen compliant, which really is a pleasure to observe and use. Highly recommended.
Next weeks release has an awful lot to live upto. But if it's half as deep, inventive and emotive as the truly great original? Then I'll be more than satisfied. Being a full on fanboy of the original I am slightly sceptical, but also mildly excited by it's vast potential. But from the promo footage I've seen this looks very promising indeed. We'll see soon enough.
Note:it is legal to unblock your game use vpn. Many players have used vpn to unblock their games.
XCOM EU - Metacritic
Although there are apparently some 'minor' frame rate issues on Console. Hopefully patchable. But a very useful 90% score average to date.
We've got a sequel coming next year
Shopto win again. I'll try it out later.
Sadly, the base management was barely touched upon. But I saw enough to suggest that Firaxis have integrated this key gaming resource appropriately and with some style.
I like it!
