One of JS's close friends was in a role at Broadmoor, served on the task-force with JS in '88, and then ended up running the place for 9 years, until '97.
If you go to page 35 of the book in your above link, you will see that Alan Franey says that when he was approached in 1987 and asked to be part of the task force in Broadmoor, he had an "unusual meeting at the Athenaeum Club in London with some officials who shall remain nameless and was persuaded that the move to Broadmoor would be a good career step"
Wasn't that the club where SaVile (and others) was a member? Strange that a meeting of that sort should be held in a private members' club.
Re: Broadmoor I think it will be contained in the Ashworth Special Hospital: Report of the Committee of Inquiry which is not live on the official document website.
As for Saville & Diana I can fully understood if he weedled his way in with Diana. She was ripe for manipulation sadly.

But this was someone very very senior and well known in TV/Journlism basically turning around to me and telling me every single one of these stories (including the gary glitter and tv centre connections) word for word.
They have had all these stories probably written and filed for years.
So why weren't you going to the police? Are you saying you knew about the abuse and stayed quiet? What's YOUR excuse for taking no responsibility for what you knew was going on? Where was your whistle?
