Pokemon Black/White 2 - Out Oct 12th
This game seems to be getting great reviews with most reviews claiming it improves on B/W in just about every way imaginable.
Improvements over the original include:
More Pokemon available from previous generations
Pokemon World Tournament - The ability to battle gym leaders from previous games as well as previous champions.
The ability to make little videos.
IGN have given it 96 and ONM awarded it 91
Anyone buying it?
I pre-ordered Black 2 from Grainger Games

I've played all of the previous games, and I won't be stopping anytime soon! Really looking forward to seeing what changes they've made.:D
I normally end up getting the two versions, but I'll probably play White first.
I will not be getting Black (or White) II as I don't feel they offer enough for a new game. They're simply a redress of the older Black and White really. Sure they've got a few earlier Pokemon, but you can still get them anyway at a later date (via captures or trades). Some of the legendaries have newer forms, and we're given a few new locations. I don't think it'll be as spectacular as people are expecting.
I'll be waiting for the 6th generation game (if there is even a 6th generation). Unfortunately will be passing on this one.
Yes, its not a while new game, but it will offer more then the usual emerald/platinum of the series. We get to see the other half of the region, with new gyms and cities. I sort of wish we had a few new pokemon though. Like, if they had not released as many in the first place, and saved a few, it makes sense to find new pokemon in new areas...
I'm excited! I've pre-ordered Black 2 from Amazon (I pre-ordered it in july!) But moneys not been taken and no dispatch as of yet... usually amazon are pretty good at pre-orders though.
I get my copy tomorrow when I pick it up from the store.
Now I've finished the second gym, I've been forced to go through a tour of Pokestar Studios, sit through one of the movies and then make a movie of my own...it took about 20 minutes. I commend them for trying to keep the series fresh and unique but this is just not impressing me.
There's also a lot of text speech to skip through in these scenes, which makes it even more frustrating.
While I get what you're saying, Black and White 2 are more different to Black and White than Emerald is to Ruby and Sapphire.
They always do this sort of drawn out tutorial stuff at the beginning. Fortunately the pace does start to pick up and the storyline get more interesting once you get to Castelia City.
Anyway, I received the game slightly early and have just defeated the sixth gym leader.
It doesn't quite have the same feeling as when you start playing a new region for the first time and much of the game is the same as the last one. However, there are still plenty of new things to grab my attention and keep me occupied such as the new storyline (which is now starting to get interesting), the new locations and the new characters. So, while it lacks that certain sense of wonderment I experienced when playing through Pearl, Emerald, HeartGold and White for the first time, I'm still enjoying the game and I think Game Freak should be commended for making this "third version" a little bit more different, and not just the usual rehash like Emerald and Platinum were.
If not it dont matter as im still working on Pokemon white 1
Its not a 3ds game so only available on ds
Ive just beaten the fourth gym leader and im enjoying this game much more then white 1
Thank you
