Bright new shiny thread for the bright new shiny series...
Actually I hope they haven't mucked about with the format or anything *FINGERS CROSSED*
Difficult to see how they could've found better finalists than last year... stonkingly good year 2011
See y'all later...

Thanks for the info op.
ETA Start date Nov 5th
Can't wait. My favourite of the Masterchef variants.
Last year's series will be hard to beat - the three finalists were fantastic.

So nice to have this show back again. I wonder if we'll have another youngster like Claire who will amaze Michel and Monica
Who does't love MRJ?
(that's a rhetorical question BTW )
TBH, I think Shrek looks out of his depth on this programme now..
I tried to search the BBC website, but it only seems to give information about past series.

Thank you Guernsey

Is this a repeat of Series 1?
Did they ever do a follow up series... Shame if they didn't as I have loved the Antipodean versions with the kids... who seem to be a helluva lot better cooks than our (UK) grownups But I think that is a lot to do with the format, number of eps and challenges which brings out their best and actually seem to teach them stuff. We have so few episodes there is little progress and no chance to learn. Well that's how it seems to me...
Profs is my abs favs of the UK format... Especially with Monica the Merciless putting them through their paces. Last year's fav moments when the conrtestants' skills test involved preparing a pigeon ... when it still had it's feathers on... Priceless... followed by 3 out of 4 burning their tarts under the grill. FFS... Professional my a*se... roll on Monday...
I think it's a new series HB.
You beat me to it GS!;):D
Something to look forward to - the soaps & these two, we're being spoiled!
I'd love to see her on Master chef Australia!:)
Not so sure about Greg though, he seems a bit out of place amongst the professionals.
So looking forward to MRJ and Monica!
He eats out more than 99% of the people in this country do so in that way he is.
