2 people in each category will be safe (so 8 in total), while the remaining 8 will be in a sing-off with one another and their mentor will vote off one of their own act.

Sounds like two from each category will be in a singoff with one sent home from each to narrow it down to 12. A pointless dog & pony show because it's pretty obvious who they are sending home already.
2 hosts just doesnt work when will Simon & Co realize this as they want 2 hosts last year aswell.
I actually think having two hosts actually work. If you had Mario by himself, he would be a bland, generic host, while Khloe by herself would probably be an epic trainwreck. Having both Mario and Khloe helps balance the role and they bounce off each other quite well.
I thought Mario did a great job, he has experience in hosting these sorts of things, so it's just natural. Khloe definitely needs adjusting, and she had a lot of awkward moments (though it did make for some good drama with her exchange with Demi). Here are my overall thoughts of the night:
Definitely Safe: David Correy, Tate Stevens, Jennel Garcia, Diamond White, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Emblem3
Could Go Either Way: Beatrice Miller, CeCe Frey, Paige Thomas, Willie Jones, LYRIC 145
In Trouble: Sister C, 1432, Jason Brock, Vino Alan (shockingly), Arin Ray
I'd say the most obvious eliminations right now are Sister C and Jason Brock. I can see Arin or Beatrice going, it's the Young Adults I'm not too sure of. I thought Paige gave a less than stellar performance, but got nice feedback from the judges. I thought CeCe was superior, but didn't get as good of feedback as Paige (not to mention she was the only one of Demi's acts whom Demi was hard on). Willie wasn't at his best either, but I think it's between Paige and CeCe here.
I think Paige is definitely safe. Apart from LA, she got fantastic comments from the judges, especially Simon. Simon actually gave the best comments to Paige out of all of Demi's acts.

As much as I like Sister C and dislike Paige I would be OK with this. Jason lost a lot of credibility with me tonight. He's definitely the novelty act and even though I came into tonight as a fan of him his performance was dreadful.

Agree. I really want more lyric and I wouldn't mind 4321 improving.
I do kinda like the Grace Jones vibe that Paige has but her voice is kinda weak.
Lylas were awful. Send them home. They well and truly butchered my favourite Taylor Swift song :mad:
Despite having a weak performance I still thought they had one of the best performances of the night, it was fun and very viewer friendly. They are still the best group in the competition.

L.A. and Simon seemed like they made their comments personal tonight.
I love Khloe and Mario. Mario is the more serious one, but Khloe did surprise me as a host. She's a lot more fun and off the cuff.
Carly's preformance was cheesy but still like able. IMHO she's still my favorite.
I want to see more of Lyric 345. But I think they will get cut in favor of 4321. Even though they have zero personality.
I think Khloe being a pleasant surprise as a host was my favorite part of this mess of a show :eek:
