I may be being thick but what has Jason done wrong
Well my own personal feeling is that he was the driving force behind the format change that cost the other three their jobs. I accept I could be wide of the mark I suppose, but based on how things have gone and also Ortis' "snake in the grass" remark on the Wright stuff, I just feel it points to him.
Not sure about that JasonW.
However the idea of the show has been blown way off course. Its not a gadget show at all, just a jolly for the presenters.
Shame

Hardly. The studio bits have been replaced with on location links, but most of the features and reviews were done on location anyway, so it's not that big a change.
The review on budget smartphones for starters was very informative, as was the bit on sub £100 earphones.
I wouldn't expect a mainstream TV programme to go into any more detail than the above items did. The reviews were more than satisfactory, as well as entertaining and accessible.
The "Fitbit Ultra Wireless Activity Plus Sleep Tracker" which came out highly rated in one of the tests carried out in last night's episode, has shot up the Amazon sales chart. It was #5 in the Pedometer category last night, now it's #1. The power of TGS.

Seriously, I think we get that Pollyanna isn't well liked on here. But details of 2 year old developments in her personal life really aren't relevant to this thread. There's a dedicated Showbiz board if that kind of thing floats your boat.
Suzi said on Twitter today to "not blame 5." That would suggest the decision was made at production level.
Which could still mean that JB had some degree of influence, especially if he had the ear of the "right" person. But as I say, it's just how I feel about it based on how things have gone.
Nice to see the 'I won't be watching', 'bring back the old team' and 'rip gadget show' posse are back.
See you next week, same time, same place.
I've always said I prefer the original lineup and that won't change, but I'm still going to watch because of the lack of alternatives. I just expect to watch the lions share of it on fast forward from now on.
Ah yes - constructive debate has been & gone on this issue several months ago - every time I was constructive I was shot down. The phrase "free speech" seems to apply to the Bradbury followers only. Not wasting my considerable intellect on this nonsense any further.
Failing that we should all go down the pub, have a pint & talk!
C'est la vie - no bad feelings at my end!
Great ratings for the show, beating Dispatches and Food Unwrapped on Channel 4 comfortably. Overall it was the most watched regular episode (excluding specials at Christmas) since March 2011, including 20+ episodes that featured Jon, Suzi and Ortis.
By comparison the equivalent episode last year, which featured the whole gang and aired on November 7, could only muster 852k (3.3%). It also beat the opening episode of that same series which managed 968k (4.5%) on August 19.
Well done to Jason, Pollyanna and everyone else who works on the show.

You can't really go by the raising for the first show, many people would be tuning in to see the new format.
Let's see how many of those tune to episode 2,3 and so forth.

And promoted her calendar with a bikini picture in the Daily Star Sunday also owned by Channel 5's owner Dirty Des.
Sex sells on Channel 5!

For what it's worth, I thought last night's episode was the best since the change. And I liked Suzi.

So if the reviews are not good enough according to the 'experts' on here, how come it has managed to influence sales to this extent??

I gave the show another chance last night & it was childish, moronic garbage. There are more informative shows on CBBC.
What a shame, what a waste of a tv show that worked in its old format but fails on several levels in its revised state.
Good night
I hope you enjoy whatever you choose to watch instead. Not approaching it with any preconceived negative ideas might help !!
I fear Bradbury is preaching to his target market....................

It would have to fall a lot from here to rate worse than last autumn's series.
