You're a bit hypocritical here. You often seem to call out people flopping yet when your faves are you don't bring it up and pretty much insist they haven't and make out nothing is wrong (e.g. Leona and Nelly - I love them, bought Spirit Indestructible, Glassheart and Trouble etc but they've pretty much done the same chart/performance wise with their newest singles and album). Is it one rule for one artist and another for those you don't like? Bit biased. But yes, JLS are underperforming.

Nelly flopped. Leona didn't. JLS have.

I've listened to Evolution and I'm gutted its flopping -on itunes, anyway - cause I personally think it's their best album!

Hottest Girl was the wrong choice of single, but they can redeem themselves slightly if they release Hold Me Down as the next one! Amazing, amazing song. :)

I know they'll split up in the next few years or so, what with Marvin getting married and JB proposing, but I'll be so sad when they finally announce it cause I've been a massive fan of theirs ever since the XF :( I'm always looking forward to my next JLS concert! :)

Simple, there music quality got worse with each new era! I could have very easily liked JLS had they continued the sound of their first era, their second era was really disappointing and the third was the definition of generic. This album being called an 'Evolution' is a joke. It's a shame because they have some good singers in the group and they seem loyal to each other. To me it almost feels like they've worked backwards and got less mature and more generic as time went on rather than the other way around. I don't think it's over for them though, they'll more than likely sell a decent amount of records and I imagine their tours sell well too, if they don't want to end it I don't think they'd have too yet. I just wish they'd go back to good pop songs and not poor, generic, dance one's.

JLS have never been anything but a generic pile of festering crap and it's a shame they ahd such potential but their musical output has been naff and outdated from the get go. Now we have The Wanted and of course 1D who have taken over from them and are still in a phase of hype which has somehwhat ended for JLS.

The Wanted and 1D are just as naff, if not worse. I don't really like any of the three boybands at the moment but JLS are the least annoying even though their music is rubbish. 1D annoy me to the point I want to smash the TV when they come on.

As I said easily Top 5 - JLS - #3 in the midweeks.

Bombing? Not even close. Not this week at least.

JLS are following the same patten as Leona, single and album-wise.

Except of course Leona has had success outside of the UK and Ireland and is actually quite talented!

I'm not into boybands but Hottest Girl is a damn good pop song. If it had been recorded by Justin Timberlake or some other established star it would have been a smash hit. The chorus is a killer.

Shocked by that tbh. Are sales still low though at this point in general?

They seem to have been forgotten about. For example, some members have now got married and they seem to be seen as celebrities that appear on Closer magazine and not a music vocal group.

Gosh, a lot of Digital Spy readers don't like JLS.

I love this album. The album has a lot of good songs on it like, 'Hold Me Down'; 'I Like It' ; 'Have Your Way' and 'Don't Know That'.

You can't say that the album has flopped until we find out the album chart on Sunday.

    To answer your question ..
Why has JLS's new album bombed?

The answer is simple .. because it's pure and utter shite!
Their fans are the only people who'll buy the album .. I doubt JLS can gather "new fans".
    Their sound is dated!

I'm guessing Marvin will be in I'm A Celeb Next Year

To be fair, the album is no3 in the midweek charts...which is not a flop.

whether it stays in the top10 or drops like a stone is another thing, but I'd imagine their label has lined up a quick-fire 2nd single before Xmas due to 'Hottest Girl' quickly falling down the charts.

I remember 3 years ago when they were up against Robbie and they won. It's great to see Robbie take back the crown ;)

To be honest though, I think their latest single is the best track they have ever released. I am a massive Justin Timberlake fan though :D

Totally agree! I love their new song and thought it was a big step further than most of the rubbish output in the charts. I think they're the best of the boybands by a long shot.

Maybe cause their fans have moved onto the other X Factor boyband.

'Hold Me Down' is the obvious second single.
The rest of the album is largely poor however in quality..
